Very nice modern apartment with free parking next to beautiful Rheinfelden and not far from Basel. Good for comfortable sleep when you're on the road trip. Reasonable prices and highly recommended if the location suits to your route

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Sonne Nollingen from the 15th to the 19th of May while visiting for the Eurovision Song Contest, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, everything about the place felt warm, welcoming, and impeccably cared for. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, offering the perfect retreat after busy days out exploring the local area and enjoying the Eurovision festivities. A special mention has to go to Mareike, the wonderful manager, who made our stay truly unforgettable. She was so friendly, helpful, and generous with her time—even giving us a lift into town one day when we were caught out without cash for the bus. Such kindness is rare and deeply appreciated. It was also a real treat to meet Bilbo, Mareike’s adorable new dog, who instantly made us feel at home. Each morning, we were greeted downstairs in the café by the lovely Katya, who was always bright, cheerful, and happy to see us. Her breakfasts were not only delicious but also served with genuine warmth and hospitality—it was the perfect way to start each day. The towns of Rheinfelden and Nollingen themselves are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, picturesque, and perfectly located for exploring both southern Germany and nearby Switzerland. Whether you’re here for an event, a short getaway, or a longer trip, this area has so much to offer. Sonne Nollingen is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience made special by the incredible people who run it. Thank you, Mareike and Katya, for making our trip so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Carefully renovated apartment hotel in a quiet neighbourhood; easy parking in front of the hotel; great price / value ratio. Perfect as a base for, e.g., visiting Basel / Switzerland and its many museums (one can take the train from Rheinfelden which brings one right into Basel; just a short ride). Our room was equipped with a kitchenette so it should be perfect for a longer stay (can't judge, we stayed for one night only).

Excellent Aparthotel. Newly renovated apartment house in a very quiet hamlet (Nollingen) of Rheinfelden. Everything in order and clean. Done with love. Complete miniapartment equipment. My wife was so happy with the sleeping pillow that we went to Rheinfeld to look for one like it until we found and bought it. It wasn't cheap, so I can guarantee from direct experience that the equipments included in the apartment are really good quality and not cheap stuff. Very large, comfortable and warm rooms. Very efficient Facility Manager. The Location is great, close to Rheinfelden Germany (a couple of kilometers) and Rheinfelden Switzerland. It is located on the southern edge of the Black Forest where in spring, summer and autumn in my opinion excellent walks can be made. It is very close to Weil am Rhein (Vitro Museum), close to Basel and Riehen (Beyeler Foundation). Not far (in an hour's drive at most) to the Rhine Falls (Germany and Switzerland), Breisach and Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), Colmar and Strasbourg (France), Zurich (Switzerland). Excellent value for money. Definitely an exceptional and confortable starting point for visiting the whole area. If I come back to these areas I will come back here.

I spent a month in this hotel. Very high standard of rooms with kitchenettes, everything is complete brand new, fresh, clean, and most of all there is a great owner. The best place I have been in Germany so far. I wouldn't change anything. I greet and recommend Roman
