Overview
Las Fontaninas is located in the village of Noceda del Bierzo, 20 minutes’ drive from Ponferrada in the Alto Bierzo mountains. If offers free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Las Fontaninas is a traditional wood and stone building with modern facilities. Each colourful room has a private bathroom with hydromassage shower, bath or hot tub. The hotel has a bar, and the restaurant serves traditional food from Bierzo as well as more innovative options. The Alto Bierzo mountains are popular for hiking and paragliding. The hotel can arrange these activities as well as horse riding. The area around Las Fontaninas is famous for its healing spring water, and one such river runs next to the hotel. Las Fontaninas is 10 minutes’ drive from the A-6 Motorway which runs from La Coruña to Segovia.

“What a great find. Welcoming hosts. Nice room and food.”
What a great stay. Very hospitable hosts, great room, nice dinner and breakfast. A real good find. We were on our motorbikes and could bring the bikes into the courtyard for extra security, not that much would happen if you left them on the street. Also some welcome assistance from Miguel when one of our group fell off his bike when leaving the next day (oops).

“Perfecto”
Without doubt the best experience I have had at a small hotel in all my time of travelling. Miguel and his family are the best! Incredible value, great food comfy rooms, just a brilliant place to stay for the two of us on our motorcycle tour. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and it will live long in the memory.

What a beautiful place to stay, miguel & Natalia welcomed us and made us so welcome, we had everything we needed and more, the food is excellent with a great choice of menu, Los fontaninas is so tranquil, the village has so much charm and we loved it, our room was lovely, just everything was perfect. We will definately be returning. For us 100% perfect ☺

Excellent home made food … and excellent value, from friendly and attentive staff. Getting away from it all, and starting a top class hike right from the doorstep without being obliged to get in a car. Lesser known Spain at its best.

We had a fantastic welcome from Miguel and Natalie. Our room was spacious, immaculate and perfect and we were able to park our bikes safely in the garden. The food and drink was also excellent. It is obvious a lot of love has gone into this hotel. Highly recommend.a stay in this pretty little town.
