“A healing stay at Hanaya”

I love the quiet (I was on a heal and reset vacation) and Hanaya is located away from where the bulk of tourist area. I truly love the garden - a view that I always looking for as an added bonus. The staff, hospitality, onsen and breakfast (I didn't book dinner) are excellent. I will come to Hanaya again if and when I am at Noboribetsu in the future.

Beautiful location very serene

The staff treated me like royalty. Extremely helpful and friendly. This was my first ryokan and onsen experience and both were amazing. Highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent Ryokan. Very cozy and familiar atmosphere compared to the bigger ones in Noboribetsu Onsen. It's a 10 min walk to the village center but has bus stop just across the street. The service of the staff was outstanding. Free drinks and amenities are available in entrance area. Food is delicious and covers many sea food dishes. Another highlight are the inside and outside onsen.

Cozy environment. Very warm and friendly staff. Meticulous service. In-room dining of dinner and breakfast were yummy. Free flow drinks and beer available at the lobby. Onsen had indoor and outdoor pools.

The hospitality and service provided by the staff was exceptional. Appreciate the staff being helpful and guided me on onsen etiquette as well. I booked the room with dinner and breakfast and it was good, with a variety of dishes being served.

The hotel was very nice although the onsen was a little bit dated. The English proficiency of staff was quite variable ranging from excellent to very limited. I had to use google translate with one member. The hotel is a little ways from from the centre of the town so one will have to walk a bit more to get there or to other nearby sites. However, the setting is beautiful and well worth the extra steps.

“A lovely place, with cute garden, away from the big resorts of the village center. Friendly staff!”

The outside onsen was great, as it is open till midnight and you are allowed to use it with tattoo. It is adjacent to a lovely japanese garden. Unlike the other big resorts, it has a familiar vibe and cosy atmosphere.

“Poor Service Let this Inn Down 😞”

We loved using the onsen, particularly the alfresco one! The food delivered to our room was delicious, plentiful & beautifully presented. There was free beer & sake (till it ran out) in the reception area, which the signs encourage you to take back to your room. We sat quietly in the downstairs seating area, with alcohol, without being asked to go back to our room.

Family had a wonderful stay at the ryokan. 5-star service and magnificent food served by the hotel. Would definitely recommend this ryokan for anyone looking for a place in the area.
