Well designed hotel with great amenities, everything is well thought of. Located in a quiet area. Variety of the a la carte meals in the restaurant. Stayed in several hotels in Oman in different cities, and this is the best so far

“A lovely hotel in Nizwa”

It's a lovely hotel, the hallway area at the lobby was nice. Everything is on the ground floor so it's a nice layout and convenient. Pool was nice too. F&B staff all super friendly. The portions on the menu were excellent. Rooms were a good size, beds were comfy.

Great facilities, friendly staff, everything was spot clean and they came to clean and change the bed and essentials everyday. The breakfast was lovely as well with lots of choice and chef made omelets and pancakes for you at request. Great coffee machine as well with nice selection of different hot beverages

“A peaceful stay in a scenic natural setting”

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Nizwa, which is not an issue if you have a car, and taxis are also readily available in Oman. The traditionally decorated hotel offers spacious grounds and a good range of facilities, including a fitness centre, restaurant, bar, large swimming pool, and entertainment for children. The rooms are generously sized, and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel’s greatest asset is its staff, who are welcoming, helpful, caring, and attentive - no request seems too much for them. Overall, our stay was comfortable and we would highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a peaceful stay in a scenic natural setting while visiting Nizwa.

The hotel was amazing. The Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and very luxurious. The breakfast buffet was very good with a great selection of continental and omani food as well as a cheff making creps/omelette on request. The room was big with very confortable bed. The facilities were also very enjoyable (gym, pool etc.). Our stay was just perfect and I would have loved staying a bit longer. We never tried the evening buffet.

“Super luxury hotel!”

The Golden Tulip is a spectacular and beautiful hotel located about a twenty minute drive from Nizwa itself. Built around a large courtyard with a 20 metre swimming pool. Our room, 114, like most others had a ground floor balcony with a couple of chairs and a table from where you could walk straight out to the swimming pool area with many sun lounges. The hotel itself is beautiful with a very attractive reception area and the bedrooms are enormous. Equipped with a large double bed a desk for working, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, wardrobe hanging space, an ironing board and hair dryer, and even a bathroom with a shower and a bath. However, there was never enough hot water to fill the bath or sometimes even for a shower! We paid £130 a night and stayed three nights. This was for bedroom only. Breakfasts were about £12 per person. One night we ate outside by the pool with a lovely BBQ. The cost for two of us including a carafe of wine came to £66. We found the staff welcoming and helpful, although we felt the room cleaning was a little perfunctory (bed was made up, bin was emptied but the pillows were not put back onto the bed!). Nevertheless, a gorgeous luxury hotel.
