“Pleasant, clean, with a reasonable price point and close to Kutchan train and bus station”
The location was a 7 minute walk from the Kutchan train station, and perfectly positioned to walk to Niseko local transport. The Donan bus line running to Rusutsu was also next to the train station, making for an easy morning walk from the hotel. The rooms were simple. Small but comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate. The "mudroom" or entrance storage area was equipped with lockers, along with a wall stand for snowboards and skis (= bins set on the floor for you to put your shoes in). Breakfast was simple, but ample. The open kitchen area was small, but enough to seat 4 - 6 people in close quarters. The hotel "host" was quiet, kind, and professional....even giving me a ride to Niseko on short notice for a bus ride back to Sapporo. Good wifi.
