The hosts and staff were very nice and provided a special breakfast for us when asked.

The Location was great, very close to the beach. Nice and calm environment. Very nice host family. Good parking for our tuktuk 🛺

The family who run the home stay and restaurant were absolutely amazing- so kind and helpful and gave us great recommendations for scuba diving and nearby bars. The food in the restaurant was all home cooked and delicious!

Everything. We were there in the off season, most restaurants were closed including To Restaurant on the premises. However, they still cooked for us, and was that amazing food! The brother has a tuk-tuk and will drive you for excellent rates. Best chill place in Sri Lanka so far

Great location and value for money

For the Nilaveli town it was good location close to the beach and a few restaurants. The place was clean and easy to find.

“Best Budget place in Nilaveli”

New room with a good bed and moskito net, fan and nice bathroom, all new. Veranda with table and chairs is great to chill. Great food in their own restaurant. Available small kitchenette for guest with kettle and fridge and drinking water. Absolutely nice and friendly family with two dogs. Quiet and only a few min away from the beach.

“Very relaxing stay in Nilaveli”

We had a lovely stay at Nilaveli Beach Rooms. The family running this place are incredibly friendly and helpful. They also run a restaurant with delicious food. Our room was spacious and had both fans and A/C. The beds were very comfortable. Mosquito nets were also available. There is a lovely veranda to sit and relax and there are washing lines to dry your beach stuff. It's a five minute walk to the beach and there are a lot of restaurants in the vicinity as well. We're very happy we chose Nilaveli Beach Rooms and would return without hesitation.

Very lovely family Business they've built. Rooms are very clean, bed is comfy and facility in general is of very high maintanance so this is a very good value you get for this price. 10/10 recommend a stay there. Also they offer great food at their next door restaurant which i also highly recommend. You will not regret to stay at this place.

Great location, very close to the beach and restaurants, etc. Room was sufficient and clean, had a nice little terrace in front. The restaurant at the hotel was super good with tasty food, staff was friendly

Great value accommodation & so close to the beach. It was super clean too. The restaurant was really good. We ate here 3 times. There is a nice veranda to sit out on & read a book or drink a beer. They have a little kitchenette too with a kettle & a fridge that guests can use.

The friendly hosts care for a good experience and are willing to help you in anything (like arranging early morning tuktuk rides). The price is really good for the rooms and being so close to the amazing beach is definitely very nice. The restaurant was also good!

Nilaveli Beach Rooms was a fantastic place to stay—great value for money. The room was just right, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It’s in an ideal location: just a short walk to the beach and close to a supermarket for anything you might need. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and there are plenty of other great places to eat nearby too. All in all, it was pretty much the perfect stay. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time at this homestay! The place is extremely clean, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful—they assist you with everything you need. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. At the same time, it’s easy to reach the busier parts of Trincomalee if you want to explore more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful yet convenient place to stay!

“Nilaveli Beach Rooms are wonderful”

The family running Nilaveli Beach Rooms were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They really wanted their guests to get the most out of being in Nilaveli. The rooms were clean and came with fan and AC. The family restaurant, Yo Restaurant, adjoining the rooms served tasty food including rice and curries, Kothu and breakfasts with fresh fruit.The family could organise good value day trips, onwards transport and snorkelling trips through village contacts. Excellent English being spoken meant it was easy to communicate. It's also only 5 minutes walk to a lovely safe beach with lots of local life.
