The best breakfast in Sri Lanka! Delicious home cooked/fresh ingredients - both continental and traditional Sri Lankan offered. Very kind owner from Denmark, who we met and chatted to a lot - who made every effort to assist. The cottages are lovely and very close to Nilaveli beach, so you can walk there and back easily. The vibe is super chilled and highly recommended for anyone looking to come to Nilaveli or along the Trinco coast. I burnt the back of my legs snorkelling and the owner kindly gave me aloe vera from his garden to heal my burns. Highly recommended!

Great location, a minute walking to the beach. Many restaurants in walking distance, however most of them offer the same dishes on their menu. Owners speaks English very well. Staff very helpfull. Laundry service available. Good airconditioning.

“Really nice stay at Luna Beach Hotel!”

We loved the location - only a couple of hundred meters from the stunning Niavelli beach. The staff were all super friendly. Outside, our room had 2 wooden deck chairs for us to enjoy and inside the room we had a fridge. Unfortunately for us, we were only staying the 1 night here, if we had more time we would have loved to stay longer. It seemed like they had body boards and bikes for guests to borrow (although we didn't ask to use them) and had a hammock in a shady spot in the well looked after garden area that separates the restaurant from the accommodation area.

Beautiful hotel very close to the beach in Nilaveli. The rooms are clean and confortable, and also the garden was well mantained. The owner Sheran is an incredibly nice person and very welcoming. Would recommend it!

“Perfect location, good coffee, great service”

We came here for 5 days but ended up staying 10. You get good coffee, homemade bread and waffles for breakfast. Not to mention a good chat with the owner Mr. Seran, who really makes you feel welcome. He even brought pretty cakes from Trincomalee to celebrate the birthday of my twin girls. Rooms are clean and convinient and you are only 2 minutes from the beach. If you like diving, Pearl Divers are really close. And on the beach you find plenty of boats that can take you whale-watching or snorkelling. We are coming back!

“The hotel you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay at the beach”

Our stay was great. The hotel is 100m from a very nice and quiet beach. Many good restaurants around for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room is clean with AC. It's really nice that towels for the beach are also provided. They offered to do our laundry (500Rps/ laundry) and it was done in half a day.

“Clean bungalows close to the local beach”

We stayed in 4 of the 6 bungalows at the Luna Beach hotel which were basic, clean and with thoughtful touches such as the plug socket and small shelf right next to the bed for a phone. Nilavelli beach was a short walk away which offered plenty of local charm and the more cosmopolitan area of Uppuveli beach was a short drive away. The host, Savi, was always available and extremely helpful.

Great location, nice clean room! The host was helpful and kind, allowed us to stay until 6pm on the day of our check-out and didn’t charge us for that. Good value for money.

“Great location, but nothing fancy”

Great location near the beach and restaurants. There are also nice outdoor seats where you can sit in the shade. Friendly people and a good breakfast. Don’t expect anything fancy - you book this for the location.

Simple clean, spacious air conditioned room, 2min walk from beach. Helpful staff. Safe. Lots of restaurants close by. Shiva manages the property and is very helpful

I think we were off-season so the hotel was empty. We had a problem with the room but the caretaker quickly responded. The hotel is close to the beach in a fishermen area. The area is less touristic than the other center south from here. The hotel is aging a bit and pictures are a bit far from the current state.

Amazing host with fantastic family, very close to the beach. Highly recommended!
