Justin went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and his English, cooking skills and stories are great. He’s such an asset to the business. The room was clean and comfortable with a small fridge. It’s about a 10min walk to the beach which is very popular with Sri Lankans on the weekends. Lots of small home restaurants to eat at and small shop over the road with a beautiful family running it.

Very nice place with a lovely garden and restaurant. Rooms were well equipped and very clean. The hosts, Jey and Justin were very friendly and helped us with everything! The food was really nice, great service overall.

“Best Place in Nilaveli!”

We spent three nights at JEY’s Place and the experience was unforgettable. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden, just a few steps from the sea and the most beautiful beach in Trincomalee, with comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need. The real added value, however, is the people: Jey, the owner, welcomes guests with warmth and passion, sharing his story and love for his land. Justin, with his culinary expertise, introduced us to impeccable traditional dishes, always using fresh ingredients, and together with Jey, he was always committed to meeting every need, even organizing trips and activities with the locals. We felt at home, welcomed more as friends than as guests. Thanks Jey and all the staff 🙏🏻

Jey's Place is fantastic. The owner Jey, chef Justin and Prasanth make sure you have a great stay. The apartments are clean and calm and the garden area really stands out in the street, it's really pretty. We stayed for 2 nights, but we would have loved to stay more. It's always fully booked, and rightfully so. If you are going to Nilaveli, this is the place to stay!

Our four-night stay at Jey’s Place was absolutely perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Jistin and Prasanth, who went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable. Jistin is an excellent cook who prepared delicious and refined traditional meals (lunches and dinners) using fresh, local ingredients — many of which came directly from their own garden. We also greatly enjoyed talking with him, and he even taught us how to make his delicious coconut pancakes. The garden is beautiful and perfectly maintained, and the rooms are cool, comfortable, and impeccably clean. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Jey, the owner — a truly kind and welcoming man. We will definitely return to Jey’s Place on a future trip to Sri Lanka.

By far the nicest and cosiest place in Nilaveli. Very well maintained property with a beautiful garden a few minutes away from a lovely Beach. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We all had a wonderful stay! Thank you Justin and Prashanth fornyour kindness and great services!!

“Snorkeling and swimming in Nilaveli”

The location is very nice and quiet. The spacious garden is filled with fruits trees and the hotel is close to the beach. We recommend beach walks at night, the beach becomes alive after sunset. The host was attentive and always present, ready to answer any questions you might have. They also helped us to organise our departure to the bus station via Tuk Tuk.

Our hosts Sitthu, Vinoth and Justin took good care of us and we felt at home at Jeys Place ! We had the opportunity to discover some secrets of the Sri Lankan kitchen, the location of the place is nice and close to the beach and the garden is really nice to relax. We highly recommend staying here for having a nice stay in Nilaveli ! :)

Our family (2+2) recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic resort in Sri Lanka, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly hospitable family who runs the place. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, offering a variety of local and international dishes that satisfied every palate. Each meal was a delightful experience, showcasing the rich flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine. The resort itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Our room was spotless and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The attention to detail in the upkeep of the entire property was evident and greatly appreciated. Overall, our stay was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the wonderful hospitality, amazing food, and pristine conditions of the resort. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Sri Lanka

“A relaxed stay close to an amazing beach!”

The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The gardens & grounds were meticulously maintained and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The location was fabulous for Nilaveli Beach, only a few minutes walk away and was beautiful. The bathrooms are very quirky- all individually decorated like a boutique hotel. Justin the Chef was a fabulous guy talking about where he’d worked in Dubai and family in England. He has some great ideas too & is an asset to the Hotel complex.

“Near the beach, clean and friendly”

Staff were lovely. Very attentive and keen to help. Food was really good and we saw some groups had ordered lobster that looked and smelled great. It's only a short walk down a straight road for about 400m to a beach with hardly any buildings, so quite unspoilt, but further along are a couple of small cafes and dive schools (I used Reshan from Deep Blue which were great). Rooms were clean and big enough for 3 of us and useful to have a small fridge in the room.
