“A comfortable and value for money Inn within walking distance of major local attractions”

The location was really good, although quite a few of the local restaurants were not open for dinner, which was a pity. The Turtle Inn was excellent value for money, very clean and had pretty much everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

“Great hotel with private onsens”

Loved the onsens, that was a real treat. Good location by the river. Very sweet staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Note, the beds are futons so some might find them hard, but we found them comfortable.

The Turtle Inn offers friendly staff, comfy rooms, private onsen, all in a beautiful location. It’s slightly out of town so you’re away from most of the noise and tourists. I had a lovely stay and would absolutely go there again!

“A wonderful escapade by the river”

The inn was just absolutely lovely! I travelled with two other friends, a couple, with them going into a western style room and me into a Japanese one with tatami (we originally wanted to share a room, but they only accepted up to two people in each). There was an onsen bath for a single person and another where a couple could bathe, so we all happily went into our respective baths and then hung out in the charming living room in our yukata. It was a wonderful stay! Be aware that the check-in is until 10pm, it's not written in the page!

“Small Inn with a warm feel”

Breakfast is simple and good. Our Japanese style room was comfortable and clean. The staff was really friendly and made us feel at home. They gave us great recommendations for sites to visit and to eat. Excellent location. The shared bathrooms never felt too crowded. Will definitely recommend!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and catered to all our needs. Got breakfast each morning and it was delicious and they even altered it for my coeliac needs. It close to all the shrines and main locations. Very close to bus stops and easy to get around from the hotel. Overall it was an exceptional experience and would highly recommend.

The room is good size but the facilities are a little bit old. The hot spring bath is a bonus.

The hotel is great, the onsen is nice and private. You can book it and it's all yours. The rooms are big, they provided a yukata that had turtles, what else can you ask for?

It’s very close to Nikko shtines & temples. Quite a short walk. The are a us very quiet next to a big creek which us very besutiful. There’s ăn in house onsen which i enjoyed very much after a ehole day walking .Thrres also a noodle place down the road next to the creek, very nice .
