Just 100 metres from Tobu Nikko Train Station, Nikko Park Lodge Tobu Station offers a restaurant and rooms with free WiFi. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Toshogu Shrine is 2.5 km from the hotel. The popular Shinkyo/Takinoo Shrine hiking course is just a 5-minute bus ride from nearby Tobu Nikko Train Station. Lake Chuzenji is 20 km away. Most rooms have Western-style bedding and hardwood floors. The Junior Suite features a tatami floor and Japanese-style futon bedding. All rooms include an electric kettle and refrigerator. A tour desk helps with sightseeing and baggage storage is provided. English-speaking staff is available. The hotel’s restaurant serves Western dishes. A variety of other restaurants and shops are located within a 10-minute walk.

Location was great near tobu nikko station and family mart, very nice stuff, easy check in and check out, very big room with mini balcony with a nice view.

“Great!”
Amazing location, 30 second walk from the train station! Perfect place to get your bus for the day trips. 20 second walk to all the restaurants, peaceful and 3 mins away from a family mart. Room was a bit small but manageable. Heated sheets & AC. Private bathroom, fridge and microwave!

It was extremely comfortable and conveniently close to the station! Would definitely recommend for anyone who needs a cheap place to sleep, slept like a baby! :)

The dormitory and shared spaces were nice and clean. Location is great as a base to get to sights in the area. Station, shops and restaurants are in 1 minute walking distance. It was possible to store luggage at reception.

“Ideally located and very comfortable”
First impressions were great - Despite arriving very early and hoping, at best, to be able to stow my bag away somewhere for the day, I received a very friendly welcome, and was told I could move straight in as my bed was ready. Beds are big and comfy (if you like a soft mattress, it's like sleeping in a cloud), towel and sheets are clean and the pillow & duvet are both fluffy. Electric sockets & bedside light work, and the curtains on each bed close completely & are heavy enough to block out all the light & offer real privacy. There's aircon for hot weather, and electric blankets for when it's cold, but we didn't need either during my stay. There were 4 showers, all spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water, and each with their own dry changing area. Only 2 toilets, but as the dorm was very far from full that wasn't a problem at all. There's a kettle & microwave for guest use (which are clean), very handy as most food places in Nikko close early. I didn't try the cafe attached to the hostel, but 800¥ for breakfast sounds like a good deal. The location is excellent - the best in town - as it's right in front of the train station and the bus stops most visitors use. I prefer to walk and it's a really nice walk to all the sights. Having read other reviews of this hostel I wasn't sure what to expect - some reviewers must have very different expectations from mine - but I was delighted enough to contemplate booking an extra night simply because it's such a nice place to stay.
