My adult son and I had a great stay in the Yurt! Our host was lovely, super helpful and was so kind and left us two beautiful cakes to enjoy on our arrival, thank you! Also WiFi was good and the beds super comfy, well mine was anyway! Easy walk down to main sights, but just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.

The cottage was super spacious and comfortable, well equipped with anything you could need, plus great coffee and tea! Kumiko was exceptionally kind and picked us up, took us to the station, and kept our luggage for half the day; she even treated us to some delicious cake!

Where do I even begin? Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even picked us up from the station and brought us to the accommodation, which was such a thoughtful touch after travelling. Everything was explained clearly, and they made us feel at home straight away. We were also surprised with a lovely cake, which was so sweet and appreciated. They gave us fantastic recommendations for sightseeing spots and places to eat, which really helped us make the most of our trip. The accommodation itself was beautiful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with amazing views. It was also conveniently close to the station, making it very easy to get around. The hosts went above and beyond by offering to transfer and store our luggage while we were out sightseeing, which made our day so much easier. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the tatami mats were too! And honestly, I slept so well after my flight. Thank you so much for such a warm and memorable stay. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area!!!!

This is a great little cottage in Nikko. Close to the Tobu-Nikko station and means of transport to the sights. The cottage had everything we needed as a family of 5. The host was so welcoming. Picked us up when we arrived, took us to the supermarket before dropping us off at the cabin. She also surprised us with different types of delicious cakes. She offered to drop us off at the train station on our last day and got us a treat for the train ride too. We felt very good taken care of and can’t recommend this place enough.

It felt like home after spending time in busy Tokyo. + There was a washing machine and dryer combo. We stayed here in November when the weather was starting to cool down. During the day we would leave the wooden doors open, letting the sunshine stream through the glass and warm the whole place, it was wonderfully toasty when we returned home. We were a group of three adults and a 5-month-old baby. The downstairs bedroom had a Western-style bed, which was perfect for my 73-year-old mum. Upstairs had futons, but they were very comfortable. The home also had a washing machine and a simple, convenient kitchen. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, took my mum to an onsen, and kept bringing us local treats to try. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special. Highly recommended.

Clean and beautiful

Amazing host who was constantly in contact with recommendations in the area. She even picked us up from the train station, took us to drop off our luggages and drove us to our first stop of the day. And got us some cake too :) The accomodation is just a 10 minute walk from the train station and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Accommodation was very comfortable, nice, and modern. The owner was lovely and went above and beyond to be accommodating. She dropped us at the temple the afternoon we arrived and even left a sweet treat for us in the fridge. Could not be happier with our stay here.

“A unique stay in Nikko”

A unique property, 15 mins from the center of Nikko. Lovely views. What was amazing was the lady who managed the property, she gave us lift to the station, to a local restaurant to make a reservation in person and gave us fresh cake. Made it so special!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The place was spotlessly clean, with a peaceful environment and a very comfortable and well-equipped accommodation — perfect for a quiet stay in the countryside. The host was very kind, she came to pick us up and drop us off. We were welcomed with delicious cakes, and on our departure she offered us drinks. A wonderful experience — highly recommended.

The owner welcomed us at the station and took us to the yurt. She bought welcome cakes and drinks which was lovely. She was really helpful in giving us information about the area and took us to the station on our last day. The property is very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

All in all a great place. Would definitely go there again and I suspect it is the best you could do at the current price. Indeed very good value. Great host, greets you, offers advice and brings cake then leaves you to it but always ready to help. Great location. Quiet, scenic, walking distance to town but still secluded. Can hear waterfalls from the cottage. Surrounded by forest. Small cul de sac so not many going past on the road. Nice parking place. Close to train staton. Great cottage/cube. Everything you need. Good value. Good facilities, including washer/dryer. Clean, well decorated. Great view, natural light. As advertised but note the wooden slider is closed - that thing opens for sunlight in the day.
