Our stay was absolutely perfect. Everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The bread for breakfast was delicious. The owner was exceptionally thoughtful and kind. I sincerely hope to come back again soon. Highly recommended!

A magic place

The owner was super nice and welcoming! I had left my wallet behind on the day we checked out, but he quickly notified me and held onto it until I returned. The Japanese style room was spacious, clean and comfortable, making a pleasant experience for our first time staying in a tatami room. The free bread served for breakfast was delicious and I wish I ordered more!

It was very simple but had mastered it. Everything was very easily accessible, impeccably clean and tidy. The baths were such a bonus, a lovely simple pastry breakfast presented very nicely. The lounge felt as cozy as you'd hope for at home and the staff were incredibly polite and attentive.

“Private Onsen!!”

The private onsen was amazing, the room was spacious and clean, the staff was very friendly The lounge room is very cozy The location of the place is a bit remote but close to a bus stop, and the buses get you everywhere in Nikko (10 mins to shrines, 15 mins to Tobu-Nikko station)

The precision along with the simplicity. The environment is peaceful and familiar. Never experienced such kindness and the politeness.

“Amazing find!”

Location, homely feel and definitely great freshly bake pastries for breakfast! The basic butter croissant is amazing! The onset bath system is simple to follow - 1st come 1st serve basis!

We loved our time here and would definitely stay again if we return to Nikko. The private onsen and communal areas were a highlight. The location is a bit out of town but this isn’t an issue as there’s a bus stop a short walk away.

“Relaxing night in Nikko”

Very nice place for a quiet night in Nikko. Everything you need is there, and the free to use Onsen is really nice too. The Host has been really nice to give us a ride to the station. Just be aware if you need to move to the station very early in the morning as no bus is available until 7.00 (at least in November).

“Lovely Hotel with Private Onsens and Thoughtful Amenities”

A charming hotel with a spacious common area and two private onsen baths that are comfortable, relaxing, and available without prior reservation. Breakfast is included and consists of seven small pastries (selected in advance), along with hot drinks and juices. The beds are comfortable with cozy linens. The host is very kind, helpful, and speaks good English. Private parking is available on-site. There is also a selection of chilled or frozen ready-made meals and drinks available for purchase, which is very convenient for guests arriving without dinner. A microwave, fridge, and hot water are available for free use.

“Great place in a good location”

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The owner was warm and friendly and took the time to show us around and explain how things worked, like the onsen. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and pillows, and the owner kindly provided me with some extra pillows to help support my back. The shower in the bathroom was good and although the bathroom was a little small it was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was as described, a choice of various pastries and breads which you select the night before. This was fine for a couple of days. There was a fridge in our room and a communal one on the landing so it was possible to buy and store other food, and there was a microwave available along with tea and coffee facilities downstairs. The location was great as we were near enough to central Nikko to enjoy the various restaurants, but also close to the Temple area and the lakes and mountains. We also very much enjoyed the two private onsens available, as it made a change to be able to enjoy them together as a couple rather than separately at the public baths. We arrived by car and there was plenty of parking.

“Cozy Bed and Breakfast with mountain views”

The breakfast was a delight. You have small selection of various pastries that you order the day before. In the morning when you go the common area, the host will serve the chosen selection for you, warm! The place are super cozy and a bit far away from the center of Nikko and the station - but the bus goes straight to the door. The rooms are simple and nice, I had one-man bed with small tv, table, chairs, small fridge, air-con and a large bathroom. The host was super friendly and welcome me well. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The environment of villa, more like a beautiful & quite house. The room rate included breakfast, you may choose 7 pcs instead of 13 pcs of tasty bread. The room & bed is clean & comfortable.

Our room was spacious and tidy. The staff was friendly and very welcoming to us. The common room was very big and water/tea and other essentials were readily available. Loved the freshly baked pastries in the morning! Overall a great stay.
