A 4-minute stroll from Kosagoe Station, LiVEMAX RESORT 鬼怒川 offers a rooftop swimming pool, a hot spring bath and karaoke rooms. “A Charming Old-School Japanese Escape”
If you would like to experience what kind of place Japanese people used to choose for relaxation, and if you are tired of identical, standard hotels, then this hotel is a perfect choice. It has a true old-school building and atmosphere. I am sure that many great ideas and plans were born here — ideas that may have contributed to making Japan great, and perhaps even to the growth of the population. 😉 Having your own outdoor hot bath is absolutely wonderful. After a long day of hiking, you can take a proper shower and then relax in the hot water. The view is stunning, the staff are kind and helpful, the breakfast is generous and buffet-style, and Wi-Fi is also available. A very unique and memorable experience.

Breakfast & Dinners are served in buffet style. Food is pretty good and the price is reasonable comparing to other hotels in Kinugawa. The room I booked has the private Onsen tub and I really enjoyed that.

“Nice resort in the Kinugawa”
The rooms with personal Onsen was nice, with high walls and a view of Kinu River and the mountain. Bed was comfortable and walking distance from Kosagoe Station and Edo Wonderland. Nice spread for dinner.

very traditional, there were only 5 foreigners. All Japanese. food is amazing and the natural hot springs were great.

“A casual resort, value for money.”
It is value for money, a casual family resort and most rooms come with an open air bath which is fantastic. This was the biggest draw for me as smaller ryokans have limited attached onsen tubs in their rooms. Buffet breakfasts and dinners were good enough for short stays. We had to leave our shoes in lockers and walk around the premises in their slippers. That is one way to keep the floors cleaner than usual. Most balconies will face a tiny "waterfall" amidst greenery and a stream. It's quite a nice sight. Hotel is also near the Kinutateiwaotsuri Bridge (3 min drive) which is worth a visit.
