The receptionist is very nice, and felt bad for not being able to help me carry my luggage up the stairs. The room was quite simple, had a good bed with space to put your luggage. The shower had decent pressure and could get hot which is useful for staying when it gets cold. It’s minimal, but not in a bad way. You’re not planning to stay in the room much, so it was quite handy to have a place to stay.

Little forrest is a nice place to stay, I had a decent view of the lake from my room too. The walls are thin but I couldn't hear anything from other guests. The room has heating and there's a heater in the corridor to combat the cold temperatures up there. I was able to park outside aswell!

“Great location for your trip to Nikko”

Great place to stay if you're staying overnight at nikko. Did the whole trip by bus. The first day was spent near cultural area. Ended the day at lake chuzenji. The next day was spent to the onsen and walking through the marshland and the waterfalls. There's a bus stop near the accommodation too. As I spent 2 nights there as a midpoint between tokyo-nikko-tanigawa-tokyo, I sent my luggage to the accommodation using yamato from the narita airport, then sent it back to tokyo by the post office delivery near to the accommodation. The staff are really helpful by receiving our luggages.

Location is great, room is comfy with a lovely lake view, very kind staff, good useful information provided before the trip regarding meal arrangement options and supermarket opening hours (typical rural area that shops and restaurants close pretty early).

The location was the most strategic and scenic, near a bus stop and Lake Chuzenji. There was a nearby laundromat and bagel shop as well as coffee shops in the morning. The owners were very kind and respectful of our privacy. It was a most pleasant and memorable stay.

Amazing view next to the lake. Was next to the bus stop so transport was convenient too. Room was clean and spacious. Host was friendly and helpful whenever I had any questions.

This was my third trip to Lake Chuzenji and my third stay at the Little Forest Inn. My first two stays were excellent and so was my third! I reserved the same single room with a great view of the lake. It was simply furnished, extremely clean and had everything I needed including a private bathroom. The hosts were, as always, welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The location was close to the bus stop, cafes, a few restaurants (it's a small town), a small supermarket and Lake Chuzenji itself. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the mountains and my third stay at the Little Forest Inn. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We had such a fabulous stay here! The location was perfect - right on the lake. It was super clean, cozy, comfortable and warm. Lovely tea and coffee provided and some chocolates. There was also extras you could help yourself too. The lady who owned it / worked there was so kind and accommodating, always smiling and happy to help. When we left she actually gave us some little cakes and crisps as snacks for our journey home, how kind? It was super quiet and so amazing for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

THE VIEW 😍🥹 amazing!! The location was great. Also the staff was so helpful. She gave me a plan with all the restaurants Nearby and information when they close. The bus was a bit tricky but overall great stay.
