Great location and views from the rooms and nice bubble era architecture.

Our room was incredible, beautiful views and the private Onsen bath was pure magic! The hotel overall is great, easy check in where the person was so helpful, making sure we knew where everything was. Dinner was buffet, we really enjoyed it, was nice to choose what we wanted. Breakfast was also buffet and the croissants were delicious (they had Japanese and Western options).

The view from the room was beautiful, and the onsen was open to people with tattoos. The room and facilities were very clean.

The outdated Japanese decor

The rooms was great. Traditional Japanese room with amazing view of the river. Staff were lovely plus plenty of English speaking staff. Food was great. Room was also great value. Onsen was lovely.

The location was fantastic.Our room had a view over the river and we could see the little train going by every now and again.The onsen was beautiful and not too busy even on a bank holiday weekend.The staff were extremely helpful.When our car wouldn’t start at departure time (after some very heavy rain)the staff came and jump started the battery in the rain.We can’t thank the gentleman who helped us enough.

The rooms were recently renovated and are very nicely done. Beautiful and comfortable rooms.

“Whole onsen to ourselves”

It was very quiet at the onsen. We had the whole place to ourselves, both at the onsen for men as well as the onsen for women. There was a free massage chair at the onsen, which we used extensively.

“Amazing hotel in with open air bath option!”

We booked the option for the room to be selected during check in. We got a corner room with a view bath over de river. The room was very very large and was very nicely decorated. The hallway was playing classical music and the hotel had many facilities. Including the option the rent a private open air bath for only 4000 yen for 50 minutes. If you have tattoos, this is an absolute gem!

Stayed in corner view suite with a view bath and the room, bath and view was superb. Food was great and the dining experience was just what we wanted in both of the two restaurants. I would definitely stay again

Room was lovely, bath on the balcony. Bath was hot.

The stuffs not supportive and warm welcomed service. There was no own shuttle bus therefore we needed to wait for a long in front of Kinugawa Onsen Station in very cold winter.

The view is very nice from the hotel room and also from the Onsen. The dinner was also fantastic.

It’s 2024 and the country that gave us Bullet trains does not provide WiFi in the rooms. The front of house staff did not seem apologetic for not having WiFi which in today’s international travel is needed as running water and electricity is. Never have I experienced such high handed attitude from a Japanese staff No understanding of omotenashi or does that only apply to Japanese guests only
