Location close to Kinugawa onsen station from where you can take the bus for Edo wonderland. Room was small, basic but comfortable and clean with all necessary amenities.

Cute little property, all the amenities were good. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was the best Karaage chicken we had in Japan.

The room was nice, nothing special about it but it was kind of old-fashioned and cosy. The location is great, so close to the station and we loved having the restaurant downstairs, we ate there every evening as we didn't want to go out in the cold or rain, the food was very nice, as is to be expected in Japan :)

Very nice lady greeted us and held our luggage when we arrived early. Wonderful restaurant downstairs. Perfect experience after landing in Japan!

Clean room , especially toilet. One of the host is Taiwanese , he can speak Mandarin. Host are friendly and helpful.

A nice family feel to it. Close to Nikko Station and several food shops in the middle of the city center. In the first floor you can eat cheap Japanese food made by the hotel owners. Confortable bed, modern and cleaning bathroom and some common space for basic cooking.

The staff were lovely. Close to the train station . Had everything you need to stay a few nights.

We had a great stay here. The room was a simple but traditional Japanese style room with a futon on the floor. You could add in extra mats and we found them comfortable and warm. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. And the owner was the nicest and went out of his way to help us. The location itself was about a 10-15 min walk down to Lake Ashi and right near a bus stop which was handy.

The host is very friendly and willing to accommodate our needs.

The location of Kinugawa Pension Bamboo was conveniently located, being very close to the station and several onsen facilities. They also have a restaurant on the first floor that opens till 9, which is quite nice since all the surrounding restaurants close very early.

“Worth a stay”

If you are not expecting complete luxury, then this place is ideal. Quirky little place with the basics and for the price, very adequate. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The food in the hotel was great, and lucky for us as places to eat in village are few and close early. Would stay again.
