Overview
Surrounded by lush Japanese gardens, Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yumenotoki boasts luxurious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths and chic Japanese-style rooms. Personal massages are on offer at the treatment salon. Rooms are fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, and feature a seating area and large windows that offer mountain views. A flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea are provided. The en suite bathroom includes a hairdryer and toiletries. Guests at Yumenotoki Grand Hotel can unwind in the spacious public baths, or reserve cosy baths for a private use at an extra fee. Blooming Spa Kaika offers rejuvenating treatments in a relaxing ambience. Karaoke facilities and a gift shop are also available on site. The hotel is located an 8-minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Train Station. Tobu World Square amusement park is a 6-minute drive away, and famous Nikko Toshogu Shrine is about a 30-minute drive from the property. Yamashina and Wakana Japanese restaurants serve seasonal meals using local ingredients, with the views of the gardens that change their colours each season.

“Great japanese experience in a relaxed space”
Relaxing space and an oasis of tranquility between big cities. We loved the whole japanese exprience, with traditional room, traditional food and private onsen. We recharged totally!

“The most beautiful and delightful Japanese hotel in Nikko !”
Everything!! Everything about this place screams excellence, cleanliness, politeness, polished. The staff at the front desk to the dinning area was nothing short of pure excellence!! Property is beautiful, the rooms excellent, food was the highlight for us, we had never had a full fledged Japanese dinner or breakfast and it was a culinary experience that the staff patiently advised us on on the norms etc. apart from all these were the beautiful onsen. If in Nikko again, this will be the only place I will be staying!

“Amazing staff and facilities, a luxurious stay”
The room was very large and we liked the choice of either bed or futon to use. The onsen both private and public were very well maintained and clean, amazing and comfortable. The little souvenir shop was also a nice addition for last minute browsing . The dinner and breakfast selection and spread was also wonderful and very satisfying. Simply beautiful facilities

“One of best hotel we have stayed in Japan”
This 5 stars hotel had everything we needed. The warm and professional reception, the comfort of the rooms, the private open air bath and the large public onsen, and the amazing breakfast and dinner. We hotel location also very close to the Kinugawa Onsen station. Only 8 minutes walk. Japanese style breakfast and dinner were awesome and nice.

“WONDERFUL”
EVERYTHING!!!! The hotel is stunning! The service was wonderful. The food was amazing (we eat Kosher and no raw fish) and we booked it 2 months in advance after another ryokan couldn't prepare food for us even tho they said they could, and immidiately I;ve got a reply to my request with questions and a will to accomodate us and we really apriciate it. The onsen was a dream (especcially the outdoor one). Our friend had to live after one night in instead of 2 and the person who did our check in was nice and suggested to give her some refund wvwn tho it was same day notice. Will definitly come back again if we have the chance and will recommed it to everyone weknow :)

“A true Japanese experience.”
This was a special getaway part of our trip. We knew it would cost more, however, we thought for the experience, it was worth it. It didn't let us down. We enjoyed the full Japanese dinner and breakfast. The onsen was lovely. I don't think there were any other Westerner's there at the time, the staff tried hard to communicate with us and make us feel welcome. The gardens that you could see from the lounge area were beautiful. It is worth getting there by the earliest check in time to enjoy the atmosphere and environment.

Very confortable hotel - 25 mn from Nikko shrines but well worth the distance. Food is very good. Great onsen. Staff was very nice, despite not so good english.

“Amazing food and wonderful baths”
The food (dinner and breakfast) were of highest quality Japanese fair and truly exceeded our expectations. The meals were served by very attentive staff and were a very pleasant experience. The big baths were good but the water temperature was slightly on the low side. Outdoor baths were good.

“An upmarket traditional Japanese experience”
Our traditional room overlooking the garden was absolutely beautiful. The onsen was fantastic! Very clean and as westerners we felt very comfortable using it. The staff coming in to lay out the futons each evening while we were at dinner and then rolling them away each morning while we were at breakfast was a treat. The driver being available to pick us up from and drop us to the train was a great advantage.
