“Incredible mountain Onsen getaway”

I loved the location, right on the lake was a beautiful place to be. A walk around the lake and down the many stairs got you to Yudaki falls. The public bus system was easy to take from Nikko station up the mountain to the hotel. The onsen was lovely, especially the open air onsen section. The hot water was perfect with the cold mountain air. It was fun to wear a Yukata whilst staying at the hotel. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a dietary request which when discussing over booking.com messages was unable to be accommodated. Once I arrived the staff were incredibly helpful showing me what I could eat and I didn’t go hungry. I had a wonderful time visiting Nikko. Lots of nature around, monkeys and deer too. Highly recommend staying at least 2 nights to make the most of the location. The room was clean and beds comfortable. Very spacious room. Balcony was lovely to see the lake from my hotel room.

Good price, good location, spacious room and good Onsen. There was no dine in options but the hotel advised us. There were frozen bento and other food available for purchase from the souvenir shop as well as microwaves and a toaster.

The staff is nice, I lost my headphones at the train station, they helped to contact the station and found it. They also have snow shoe spikes and slider to rent out in winter, but we didn't know it until the day we leave.

The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the “Kohan-mae” bus stop and has three coin laundry machines. Most importantly, they can help deliver your luggage to another hotel.

Clean, Big tatami room. Onsen onsite. Free ramen noodle for a late night snack is a surprise. About 15 minutes drive from the Chuzenji lake.
