Amazing experience. Hiro-san was great and he gave us lifts from and to the station. It was very nice to meet Him. The room was also great, in a traditional style and very impressive. There is also a bath that we had the pleasure to use. Thank you very much Hiro-san!

The bedroom was very clean and traditional. It was nice to be able to use the “mini onsen” the futons made for a great nights sleep and overall Hiro-san’s home is beautiful. We followed the itinerary he gave us for both of our days in Nikko and had a great time .He even gave us some strawberries each night after collecting us from the train station .We would definitely stay again

Lovely authentic homestay experience. Hiro is a champion host - helpful, funny, considerate. He would readily drive to the local station to pick us up after our day’s adventures. His suggestions for day trips were excellent and thorough. Hiro also booked a local Japanese restaurant for us as he was encouraging us to have an authentic dining experience. It was awesome. A huge bonus was also his home onsen which was fantastic! And Marie is gorgeous.

Absolutely beautiful place run by the man, the myth, the legend that is Hiro-san. He is an absolutely perfect host. The place is immaculate and we'll maintained. And the onsen is the cherry on top of it all. Such a nice experience overall. I would recommend this place to anyone. It really is a fantastic experience. Hiro-san goes above and beyond.

“Super cozy and relaxed vibes!”

The house is a traditional Japanese home that feels like being transported into another world. The location is quiet, on the outskirts of the city and surrounded by a beautiful forest. It feels incredibly cozy and welcoming. The host was very sweet and lovely and even offered to pick me up and drive me to the nearest train station every day. I felt very well taken care of throughout my stay. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Hiro is a lovely and friendly person. He picked us up from the train station near his house. The room was traditional with 3 futons and even had a small private onsen bath in the shower which was great. Hiro hosted us very nicely and we also had a long and wonderful conversation with him. We really enjoyed our stay at Hiro's house, a very special experience. Highly recommend, Thank you 🌷

“Amazing host”

Hiroshi is a very thoughtful and kind man. We stayed at his beautiful traditional Japanese house and slept on very comfortable futons. He has a small private "onsen", which he prepared for us daily so we could bathe in hot water after returning from our day-trips. He adjusted to our schedules and picked and dropped us off at the station each day. He also recommended several restaurants (even reserved a table for us at one) and a traditional mountain onsen. Highly recommended, we hope to return someday.

We loved the athmosphere of the house and our room. The mini onsen was amazing, the crown for the end of the day. Best thing was our host Hiro-san who was funny and super helpful, thank you for everything!

It was a great experience to stay here, Hiro is an amazing host and dropped us off and picked us up from the station every day at a time that would suit us best. The house has a private onsen to use, which is amazing, as well as an authentic Japanese room+beds (be prepared that these are not the usual mattresses, that's part of the experience ;)). Tip: go to the restaurant Hiro recommends, it is 100% worth it, one of the best meals of our 3 week trip!

“Fantastic Hostel in Nikko”

Cozy Inn is an excelent place to stay while touring Nikko and its surroundings. The room is clean, with Air conditioner, an ideal place to rest after a long day walking the temples in Nikko. Hiro is a fantastic host and deserves all the praises received in the other comments. If I ever come back to Nikko, I’m staying here. No doubt.

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy Inn. We are so happy to have chosen this traditional japanese house over a standard hotel. The place is beautiful and quiet and the rooms are clean and spacious. Hiro is the perfect host. He was so welcoming and funny and reccomended us many places to visit and also some very nice restaurants. A lot of good tips and fun stories and of course how not to mention Marie, the petfect assistant. Thanks Hiro for the unforgettable staying.

Everything! The house with a beautiful Japanese style, the coziness, the garden and the private onsen...but more importantly, Hiro ! He is an amazing host and we would recommend him 100 %. We will come back Hiro, Arigato gozaimasu
