Great house, great garden a d great pool

We stayed in the top floor apartment of this two storey house, with beautiful views up into the hills and towards the sea. The apartment is furnished traditional Greek style, with 2 double bedrooms and one twin room. The main lounge area has been converted to a double bedroom, with the dining table and tv remaining, and fireplace. The kitchen has a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and kitchen table and bench, with a door onto the veranda. The Green main bathroom is off the main corridor, which has a shower over bath, loo etc and also the washing machine. A separate toilet is also off the main corridor. A shower cubicle is on the back veranda and can be accessed by one of the double rooms and the twin room. The apartment was very clean and the bedding and towels were changed mid week. The garden and pool area is beautifully maintained by Vasillis’ father, who came daily to look after the gardens. The pool was exceptionally clean, the water crystal clear and warmed well by the sun. There is an outside pool shower next to the pool and shaded by a large olive tree. The garden area had a fantastic barbecue area, which is well kitted out with sink, lighting, chair and tables. There are lemon trees and an abundance of flowering shrubs, providing shady areas and a hammock. The house is 150m walk from a pebble beach, where it is shaded by pine trees as well as sun beds and parasols a little further down near a beach bar. It is a 15 minute walk into Nikiana, where there is a good selection of bars, restaurants, 24 hour supermarkets, bakeries and a butchers for bbq. The dive shop is at the farther end of Nikiana, along with a car rental shop. It is possible to rent boats from the marina and Nikiana beach club offers sailing, kayaks, SUPs and windsurfing. Vasillis came by regularly to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and also treated us to some local sweets and ice creams. His mother and sister also came by when the ground floor apartment changed guests.

We visited Lefkada for the first time and were impressed not only by the sights of the island but also by the warmth and attentiveness of the villa owners. The villa conditions were of high quality, clean, airy, plenty of space for several families, large BBQ area and pool always well looked after. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities. The beach was 200m away and had crystal clear water. Vassilis and his family served us with traditional sweets and wines and created a wonderful time on this vacation. We are very thankful for the attitude and care from the owners and we will gladly return to this location!

We had amazing time at Villa Dimitra. The hosts are great. They made our holiday unforgettable. The courtyard is excellent, full of lemon trees and you will find all you need, plenty of space for everyone. House is huge. We were surprised, everything is much better than on pictures. Every recommendations from our side...

The villa is great, all clean, amazing garden and pool. And the BBQ also was one of the attractions. You have everything you need in the villa, just like home. The location is good, 5 min walk to the nearest beach. And the host, Vassilis, though we had a couple of misunderstandings, was kind to bring us sweets and wine. More, his parents are great, we spent a lovely time with them in the evening.

We had a six days vacantion in the second half of july as a group of 2 families with 2 children each one. Nikiana Village is located between Lygia and Nidri, 5 minutes distance by car, 10-15 minutes from Lefkada City and 25 minutes to reach the other coast of Lefkada Island and her famous beaches. Villa Dimitra is situated in a quite countryside area at the entrance in Nikiana, the acces from the coast road being made by a lateral street, about 100 metres distance from the coast road. The opened used acces to the property is a lateral one, by a large gate, where is situated the parking area, that has the capacity of about 4 normal cars, also parking is available outside the property, near the sorrounding fence and the principal acces gate. The large property has 3 main areas, the pool zone, the villa and green barbecue yard. The pool side has a warm beautiful pool, normal depth and children area, easy acces in the water, big relaxing sunsitting area, equipped with suficient sezlongs, umbrellas or terrace tables and chairs.The pool area is completed by outdoor shower and luxuriant green flower zone. On the other side of the property, it s situated the green garden, next to the parking, where you can relax or take meals next to olive and lemon trees, hammocks, a lot of flowers and tree shade. There are garden tables and chars and also a rustic large barbecue terrace, with a large barbecue, all you need for preparing the grilled meals, wood table and chairs. In the center of the property, is the villa that has rustic wood surrounding balconies, for the ground floor and especially for the upper floor. The villa contains of 2 apartaments, for each floor, and the upper floor, where we stayed, has a friendly kitchen, with enough cooking equipment, big refrigerator and freezer, good electric owen,dishwasher, that has acces to the balcony where you can serve the meals with a beautiful upper view to the pool and hall mountain and olives area.

“Super vacation!”

Beautiful, spacious villa, not brand new but well maintained, AC in every room, perfect for large groups (16-17) but not only. Better than photos! Very large garden with all kind of facilities. Quiet area. Host very very nice, bedlinen and towels change every 4 days. Wifi in all areas (in and out). Very nice rocky beach nearby, clean waters, like a fish tank, quiet in the shade of pine trees, but also a small beach bar with umbrellas if you need. For all of us, adults and kids (12-14 years) it was a delight! I am sure that we will come again!
