We had a lovely stay at La maison de Sophie. Sophie and Gilles are very amicable and welcoming. Sophie’s breakfasts were delicious and meticulously prepared. The house is homy and the room and bed are very comfortable and cozy. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

“Unique and delicious breakfast, great hosts and comfortable room”
We had a wonderful time staying at Maison de Sophie - the room was very comfortable and we got to enjoy two delicious and inventive breakfasts. Sophie and Gilles were superb hosts and gave us lots of great recommendations, including wineries, shops and activities. The communal snacks/drinks fridge was also a nice touch, especially as it was very hot and humid outside.

Breakfast was a culinary treat each morning. Sophie takes such care to prepare food that is delicious, fresh and reflects her French cultural background. As a foodie, I really appreciated the trouble she went to , to prepare breakfast every morning.

“This was our second time back and already looking forward to our next visit:)”
Sophie is an amazing cook and puts so much thought, creativity, and passion into her food!! Gilles and Sophie are amazing and attentive hosts. Gilles also fired up the pizza oven and grilled us Sophie’s fruit pizzas which we ate outdoors in the lovely backyard. Breakfasts were delicious and fun!

“Perfect”
Sophie and Gilles were the perfect hosts. Her house is beautiful and is close to historic Queen Street. Everything is immaculately clean and lovingly decorated. The breakfast was exceptional. Actually there are no words for it. There was something different every morning. It was lovingly prepared using local produce. And it was always delicious. In the evening you could sit on the terrace in the garden and watch nature. There is a lot to see. We would love to come back anytime. We immediately felt at home here.
