“OK for the price”
This is a really authentic stay in an old house in Stonetown. Its basic, but also interesting. Entrance through one very small shop and up the stairs. If you are an experienced traveller you should take one or two nights here. Just for the feeling of Stonetown houses. The bed is good. There is real aircondition. (Set on 17 degrees… no change) And a ceiling fan. Even hot water, but water pressure is low, as most places everywhere. Ok breakfast

“This hotel is a MUST! Perfect location and authentic old building with real traditional beds.”
It was wonderful being able to spend nights in an authentically traditional building with traditional rooms and furniture. It was an excellent way to explore the traditional architecture and decoration of old Zanzibar. The location is perfect. Just behind the famous praying temple and just 5 minutes to the water shores. The owner is very friendly and always eager to make your stay comfortable. The price is reasonable given the excellent location and the traditional environment. This place is a must!
