We traveled as a couple specifically to run the Newport Marathon, and this hotel served our needs well. Convenient location and quiet comfort: The location was excellent. It was incredibly convenient, close to downtown access while still being quiet, and the proximity to the race start line was a major benefit. The bed was very comfortable. Helpful service: Bethany at the front desk was kind and helpful. We especially appreciated that she accommodated a late checkout request so we could shower after finishing the race. That flexibility made a big difference to our day. Practical touches: The place was made cozier by the B&B-style decoration, and we appreciated the generous supply of towels in the bathroom.

“Perfect for a 2 night stay in Newport - Gilded is great!”

This Guest House (bed and breakfast) was perfect for our 2 night stay in Newport. In a quiet residential street it is just a short 10 min stroll down the hill to the quaysides and the action of town. We received a warm welcome and our room was very comfortable. It is decorated in bold colours which have it character. The breakfast was decent and there was a communal tea and coffee station for use at all hours. Very good!

Beautiful hotel and very quiet! The decor is very pretty and the room was very spacious and clean. The personnel was very friendly and attentive. The hotel is very close to downtown by foot (10 mins). I really enjoyed the cookies left on the counter for the guests as well as the cold lemon water available anytime.

Nice hotel with a friendly staff and reasonable breakfast, coffee snacks and fruits are complementary at the lobby. Free parking lot at the hotel.

The staff is incredibly sweet, helpful, attentive. The decor feels warm and well thought out. The beds are comfortable. It is near everything.

AMMMAAZIIIING BREAKFAST!!!! The location was perfect, close to the free buss that goes around during peak season, interior really nice and the "wine hour " at the sister hotel was amazing!

The location was perfect! You can easily walk to most destinations - wharf, shopping, mansions, restaurants, beach. Gilded was lovely. It is well maintained, clean and has creative decor. Great pillows and bedding! I truly enjoyed communicating with the individuals working at Gilded. Breakfast was excellent - something for everyone!
