Overview
Hotel Scacciapensieri is located in Nettuno, 100 metres from the beach and 500 metres from the Sanctuary of Saint Mary Goretti. The restaurant serves regional specialities, and some rooms feature a sea-view balcony. The Scacciapensieri is set on the first 3 floors of a tall apartment block. “Very basic Hotel with good location but much to improve in the property.”
Great location on the beach, quiet area near city center and train station. Room had a fridge, safety box and a small balcony facing to sea.

“If you want to "de-romanticize" Italy, this is the place.”
A dark, depressing building from the Italian communist era of the 70s or 80s, with an absolutely unpleasant staff attitude. Beach access costs an additional 25 EUR, which is mentioned somewhere deep in the information, but we missed it. The walk to the beach is short but takes you through urine-smelling pavement. There’s a minibar, but it’s empty. The so-called "smoking rooms" have non-smoking warning signs everywhere. We didn’t stay for breakfast; we left after just two hours. Even then, the receptionist didn’t ask why we were leaving early but made sure to remind us of the 3 EUR city tax, which we, of course, paid with a smile :)
