“Lovely place , beautiful place and awesome host”

It’s one of the best places we stayed in Iceland . It was a farm house with amazing views . We even saw the northern lights aurora . Thea and her husband were amazing hosts . They were very friendly , knowledgeable and helpful . The home made breakfast was delicious . I wish I had more days to spend there . Will highly recommend and visit again .

People and place are really fantastic and so welcoming ! We could have stay a whole week in this such beautiful place that makes you feel at home.

Hosts were lovely, gave us a lot of recommendations and told us a lot about Iceland. They were very helpful letting us checking in late after a long drive. The place is clean and nice and they really think about every little detail! Highly recommended!

“Nice cozy homestay”

Like the bed, cozy feeling of the place , the remote location with a peaceful environment, and the warmth and the hospitality from the hosts, Thia and Dottie. They were so friendly and shared some safety tips about sheep on road travelling in Iceland.

I was welcomed like family, the house was cosy and clean, the surroundings were beautiful.

I received a completely different house than the one I booked. It was cold, we had heating only in the bathroom.

Owner was very nice and interesting and provided recommendations for dining in the nearby town. Breakfast was included and the other couple were nice to visit with.

All was great but the Host have been the Most Amazing people

Breakfast was great, room was quite comfortable. We booked a quad with private bathroom. The proprietors are very nice people and we enjoyed our stay!

EVERYTHING! clean, hot tub, breakfast, Hosts were super friendly and talkative, gave some tips of where to go. They have a cute farm with sheeps, goats, chicken and horses. We really enjoyed the stay!

The two hosts were fantastic, they made us feel right at home! Upon check-in, the owner gave us a tour of the entire hotel and explained the story behind their business and their family. Had some lovely talks with both of them throughout our stay and I loved all the personal touches they added to the decor of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating and even let us put a few groceries in their fridge. We made our own dinner in the shared kitchen and enjoyed it on the outside terrace while watching the sunset behind the mountains. The surroundings were peaceful and offered the most beautiful views. We even watched a wild fox come and play with their dog!! The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the equipment you need. Breakfast was superb, they offered a wide variety of meats, cheese, cereal, fruit and even fresh bread baked by the owner's wife. Our room was spacious, had a separate/private entrace, large bathroom and even included an extremely comfortable couch to relax on. Their service and hospitality was our favourite part. This was the best stay in all of Iceland, and we are so happy to have met the hosts!

“Stunning views, great breakfast”

Lovely place, had not realised that it is a working farm, but it was great for us for a night. The hosts were very kind and we even had a show during breakfast, with a bit on icelandic history, the vikings and genetics... most entertaining.

“A must stop on your tour”

The host Sunna was great helpful and spent time assuring us about all our needs. In the morning Sunna took James to meet all the farm animals. It was excellent and would love to go back for some horse riding in the future.

The guesthouse is in a beautiful setting overlooking the farms and mountains. Our hosts were very helpful and lovely to chat with and overall perfect hosts. The shared kitchen is really well equipped and the dining room is fantastic with plenty of space and windows overlooking the valley. There are lounge areas to use. We enjoyed the one adjacent to the dining room to relax. Breakfast was fantastic with homemade breads, jams, eggs, porridge etc. We would love to come back again.

Great location and the owners are very engaging. Good breakfast and comfy room. The rescued Arctic fox cub was unexpected addition - whilst very cute it was also sad to reflect on the fact that some people still think it is OK to hunt these beautiful creatures.
