The location of this hotel is beautiful - overlooking a lake and very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast on the terrace outside was gorgeous. The staff were all lovely and friendly and helpful - I was a vegetarian and they assured me they would do something for me for dinner which was nice. However, the price of the dinner was VERY expensive... For my boyfriend and I who had a main each and a brownie each, it was £90. We were quite shocked with the price and thought it would be nice to have known this upfront, as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so there isn't really anywhere else you can go. Also, my meal was vegetarian so without the lamb, I expected my meal to be cheaper as it was just vegetables with no protein of any kind, but it was still the same price as my boyfriends lamb dish, which I thought was a little extortionate. They also charged me 75NOK, £5.49 (!!!) for a cup of tea, of which I brought my own teabag.. so £5.49 for a cup of hot water. There's also no kettles in the room so I had to ask for it down there and didn't realise they would charge us like that for it. We didn't complain at the time as we were rushing but I wish we had now as looking back, that price was extortionate for what it was. Overall the hotel is a nice location and the staff were friendly but we did feel taken for a ride with the dinner.

“A peaceful place”

This property is in a quiet location surrounded by beautiful nature. The dinner was excellent - choice was limited and that may have been to the number of visitors. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We made the booking in the morning of the day of the arrival. It first was a little strange when we drove on a gravel road to the hotel. We then found out that we were the only guests. We got our private dinner in the hotel and a private buffet breakfast with plenty of options.

The accommodation was really perfect, I was able to check in even very late, the staff was very friendly, everything was great!

Wet room rather that an proper bath room (dirty shower), breakfast was very basic and the rooms require renovation

Staff was very nice and friendly. Place is beautiful. I have talked with staff and they prepared scrambled eggs for as because there was almost nothing to eat on the breakfast. Room was clean and cosy, beds was big and comfortable.

The hospitality and friendliness of the manager who welcomed us. Great view from our room of the lake. The dinning and lounge area was comfortable and inviting with an eclectic look and feel. Very hot shower and heated floor in bathroom. They served dinner and breakfast at the hotel.
