In an apartment that is very modern and equipped, you have everything you need, and in the immediate vicinity you have a couple of supermarkets, a bakery, a pharmacy, a shop with olive oil. From our host Socrates, who is pleasant to talk with, we got a lot of useful advice on the best places in and around Neos Marmaras. Neos Marmaras is a great place for a vacation because it provides a lot of quality content, but it's also a good starting point for an exploring Sithonía. I would like to mention a few truly great places that you definitely need to check out. You have a great ice cream and waffles in downtown Marmaras called Fregio. If you occasionally cook for yourself and your loved ones, you have an excellent butcher shop (near the football field) that is run by two brothers and is called Livadioti Bros. If you want to try some excellent sea food, you must check the menu in Okyalos. And when it comes to a variety of extraordinary olive oil, you should not miss entering the organic shop in the center called The Olive Tree. The weather was great, the sea was clean, the beaches we visited were not crowded. We will definitely come again.
