Vetilios Lithos is a very good choice for a stay in the area of western Mani, especially for people who love quiet holidays. We loved the excellent hospitality of the very kind owners, the good quality breakfast, and the exceptional style of this boutique hotel. Everything in our room was clean, new and in good condition.

Very clean and stylish room, loved the decoration. Nice terrace area to have breakfast or coffee. Convenient location to explore Mani peninsula - very close to Limeni and Aeropolis. Staff was very friendly and helpful :)

“An authentic stay in a pretty Mani village”

This hotel is located in a pretty little village that overlooks the stunning Mani coast. The location is a little tricky to find, but the staff were very helpful and actually walked us to the hotel when we got lost. Our room was great and we particularly liked having breakfast from the rooftop patio which had an amazing view. Highly recommended!

The location is absolutely lovely. After travelling around the Mani Peninsula for a few days we came to the conclusion that Ithilo / Neo Ithilo, with their unpretentious peaceful charm, good connection by car to other interesting towns and beaches, and with the spectacular views over the beautiful bay by which they are located, are possibly the best area to stay in the whole of Mani. And the hotel itself was just great, a bit rustic (in a good sense) but very comfortable and clean with all modern amenities, very friendly and extremely hospitable staff, located in a quiet and charming spot, with a great rooftop terrace offering wonderful panoramic views of the area (excellent place to cool off in the evening with some wine). Breakfast was delicious. The lady at the reception (cannot remember her name unfortunately) was extremely friendly and offered very good tips on what to see in the area and which beaches to visit. Very highly recommended!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend staying here. We stayed in the Superior King Suite. It was quite a decent size and also right in front of the steps to the terrace. It felt as if the terrace was private for our use only! The room was kept very clean no matter what time we left in the day (thank you Tanya!). The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was perfect with the AC on. It got quite hot in the room without the AC on though (but it was c40 degrees outside so not entirely unexpected). Only slight downside is that the room was quite dark without the lights on as some of the shutters were kept shut. Breakfast was delicious. Some cereals, yoghurt, cheese, eggs, local homemade pies and cakes along with juice and tea/coffee. The owner was also VERY VERY accommodating to my 2 year old. She allowed us to use the breakfast kitchen to make occasional lunches for my son. She also sometimes gave us a goody bag of fruit and boiled eggs to take with us to the beach (as finding food for a young child is not so easy in that region). The location was ok. You had to drive a good 10 minutes to get the the closest beach which is not the nicest and always quite packed. The town that the hotel sits in is also not really a town. It has a small cafe/restaurant but I don't ever recall it being open when we were out and about (and I think it was mainly for locals). Either way a car is needed for travel around the area anyway so it's not that big of a deal.
