It was very cool to stay in such a old building. Everything was finished wonderfully. Staff was very helpful

It looked modest from the back but the inside was a very pleasant surprise. The room was very well appointed, the bed comfortable and the adjacent common room had a lovely coffee machine. Great views from the rooftop hot tub.

The staff is very friendly. I like the location right downtown. Small hotel. There was a nice common area with a fridge a coffee machine it looked like a small Lounge for meetup. The balcony upstairs with the hot tub you have a nice view.

Good price, clean and comfy rooms,. Location is great, right downtown Nelson. Great eateries around the hotel. Roof hot tub with a private booking was available. Bed was great, pillows a bit lumpy. Funky, laid back atmosphere. Hotel notified you of stair access and parking.needs.

Great location right off Baker Street. Very friendly staff. It was a short but excellent stay and we will stay here again next time

“Never again there!”

There was no one at the front desk at check in or at anytime,,,but a buzzer.No phones in the room so when needing something that should be there like a remote for the TV which had to be called for,,,you better have a cel phone plan to call the number they gave between 8am-10pm.After that there is another emergency number but when you call it the mailbox was not set up,,,,you cannot leave a message even.I called this emergency number because it was after 10PM and you cannot control the room temperature from the room.They have it blocked out with a 4 digit code that they don't give you.I called and was then given the code which is complicated and generally a pain to have to do.Hard to believe this is for no other reason than to keep costs down like AC not available because how many people would call for a code. Also the message shower in the room in the pictures was mostly immobilized because they said guests were scalding themselves.Again I think this is to go on the cheap so people don't stay in there longer and use as much water.There was also broken seats in the shower.If scalding is the reason then turn the temperature of the hot water down otherwise the entire shower and sink would need to be immobilized.Coffee machine in the common area was broken and the attendant just kept holding the on button as though that would do it.Generally you're just dismissed when asking for something that should be working properly.

The location was excellent with a Thai and Japanese restaurant right there. I like older hotels that are well maintained. Nice bathroom.
