Negril is too expensive. And as for the rooms not even a television for that price. I had to buy tea for four dollars. No microwave or kettle in the room. The only good thing is the amazing staff and the beach.

“Very good for families”

White Sands is located on what may well be the most beautiful stretch of beach in Jamaica, Seven Mile Beach. The sand is incredibly fine and white, living up perfectly to the hotel’s name. Traveling with two young children, we found it to be a very suitable and welcoming place for families. Our one-bedroom suite offered plenty of space, which made the stay comfortable and practical. Most of the staff are kind and accommodating, and while food service can be slow, this seems to be fairly common across Jamaica and not specific to this property. There are, however, a few important things to be aware of. The hotel is split between the beachfront and another section across the road, where the pool is located. This means you need to cross the road regularly, which may not be ideal for everyone. Also, so-called ocean view rooms do not actually offer a direct view of the sea, even though the property itself is right on the beach. In terms of amenities, there are no safes in the rooms, which is inconvenient. Guests must use the reception safe located across the road. There is also no in-room telephone, so contacting reception requires using your own phone, which can be an issue without a local number. Finally, while most staff are pleasant, service can be inconsistent. In particular, the beach attendant was not especially helpful or welcoming, which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, White Sands offers very good value for money in an exceptional location. That said, the property could benefit from improvements, and without upgrades, it may begin to show its age fairly quickly.

Loved the direct beach access and the food in the restaurant. Staff was overall very lovely at the front desk, reception, but in the restaurant some staff members could improve in kindness - and their tip expectations.

The staff were super welcoming and professional, they attended to all of our needs. The apartment was immaculate and well put together. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots and pans so we could use it fully. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and made great cocktails and tasty food. Perfect location on the beach!

“Perfect for a beach holiday!”

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, everything spic and span. I stayed at the garden side, so the room was surrounded by lush greenery and 5 steps from the pool. Across the street is the beach side of the hotel which provides access to a well-maintained area of Seven Mile Beach, with the hotel's own beach chairs, umbrellas, cabanas and shady trees. There is a lifeguard on duty and the bar and restaurant are right on site. Hence the hotel is perfect for a beach holiday!

Great hotel with excellent service and superb location on the beach. Easy to walk to supermarkets and restaurants in the area. Felt very safe and looked out för by all members of staff. All are very friendly and ready to assist you if you have any questions. I understand why so many guests are repeat guest. Beach is lovely and Long Beach walks are easy to make. We liked to hotel so we opted to stay there most days.

Super relaxing resort direct on the beach. Everything was clean and rooms are comfy. The restaurant and the bar is directly located on the beach side and offering nice food and drinks. The music is not to loud so you can also enjoy the sound of the sea in your deck chair. The staff is really friendly and helpfull. The owner Michael is really obliging, he helped us directly and professionally with a problem with our rented car. Thank you so much!
