“A Hidden Gem & home away from home!”
My holiday in Negril at Nelson Retreat was truly an amazing experience. I travelled with two family members, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. This beautiful residence is located in a private cul-de-sac with welcoming neighbours. The area feels very secure and safe, leading to a private gate and beautifully kept grounds. I cannot say enough about the couple who run this residence. Shirley is absolutely awesome and always goes above and beyond. I would definitely recommend trying her breakfasts to start the day — she can cook! We always began our mornings with our palates smiling. William, her husband, was also a brilliant host. He kindly gave us lifts into town a couple of times and spoke passionately about Jamaica, guiding us to enjoy a truly authentic experience. Nelson’s Retreat is located at the end of West End, just a 10-minute walk from the famous Rick’s Café, where the sunsets are simply breathtaking. It’s also not too far from town, where you can find everything from authentic cuisine and fast-food chains to supermarkets and banks. A gorgeous place run by a lovely couple — we are definitely returning next year with more of our family!

“Everything was absolutely perfect.”
We spent four wonderful nights at Nelson's Retreat. The house is beautiful and our room was cozy, spacious, and everything was super clean. The garden is a dream, with plenty of places to relax, and the location was just perfect for us. You can quickly reach the beautiful Seven Mile Beach, there are many great restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and in the evening you can enjoy peace and quiet and a wonderful retreat. We would like to give special mention to the two hosts. Shirley and William are such wonderful, loving, and warm people. We immediately felt at home and breakfast was a little highlight for us every morning; it was varied and so incredibly delicious. The two of them really made our stay perfect. We would like to thank them again. It was wonderful and we can recommend Nelson's Retreat to everyone. It was by far the most beautiful accommodation in Jamaica for us.

The grounds of the studio apartment were terrific with lots of trees and flowers. And the apartment was very clean and tidy throughout. It was very comfortable. The Nelsons are great hosts. Very friendly, and we shared a few jokes too. Great location with plenty of local bars, restaurants, and shops.I enjoyed my stay and felt that I left a bit early. I'll definitely be going back and recommend that if you are going to Negril, book Nelson's Retreat book. You won't be disappointed.

“Such a lovely stay! 10/10 would recommend”
This has been so far been the best accomodation in Jamaica. Everything was amazing. The host was welcoming, warm and kind. We had such a lovely evening sitting by the bar and talking. We had to go to Kingston the next day early in the morning and they woke up at 5am, made the most delicious breakfast to go, and took us to the bus station. The property was amazing, the garden was such a gem and the room spacious and very cute. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, too. At first the location seemed too far from the center but the route taxis are frequent in that area and the host was willing to give us ride whenever we needed it. We only wished we could stay for more than one night.
