“Highly recommend!!”
If you are staying in Negombo or looking for a spot close to the airport, I highly recommend Ziegler Cottage. The service was on point, greeted at rhe door, settled and brought a welcome drink . . . they were friendly and fabulous! The pool was nice, there were hammocks and lots of pool seating. But the greatest thing about this place is the ocean and sunsets! It is located on the beach and it is absolutely fantastic. The hardest thing about staying here is choosing which if your sunset pics is your favorite.

Breakfast was decent, but nothing to write home about. It’s definitely a good place to rest after a flight. The rooms were a decent size, and we really didn’t lack for anything.

“Great and helpful staff, private beach but remote location”
The staff was pleasant and helpful, arranged for the Van for the travel and were accommodating in changing the rooms. Lucky was extremely helpful. The property was clean. In addition to that it opens up on beach And it’s more or less private beach. Great breakfast. Loved the food. However Limited options for lunch and dinner (until you pre-order)

I spent two nights at Zingler Cottage in Negombo. It was a very quiet and pleasant place to stay, with good accommodation and food. The staff at the resort were very kind and helpful. They also arranged a cab with a friendly driver for a five-day trip around Sri Lanka.

“Relaxing and hospitable stay in a comfy hotel with the best staff.”
We had an extended 2 week stay here due to a cancelled flight and couldn’t have asked to be stranded in a better place. The hotel was comfortable, good beds, clean, hot showers, lovely pool and decent sun loungers. The food was freshly cooked and tasty but the best thing about Ziegler Cottage was the staff. They were all a complete delight and made us feel so at home. Everyone of them was smiley, hardworking and so helpful. We can’t thank you enough for looking after us so well.

“A very nice four days here at the start our holiday to climatise from the UK”
We had a very nice four days here at the start our holiday to climatise from the UK. Arriving early in the morning we were able to get into our room and sleep before breakfast, a tasty selection. The staff are amazing, the garden is gorgeous, lots of shady areas for loungers (comfy-ish) and the pool is perfect and also with some shade. Very peaceful in the garden with the sound of the birds and the waves. We saw many birds flying around, it’s a birders paradise. Our room was comfy and enjoyed the sea and sunset views. Curry is made to order and very yummy, a shame Sri Lankan music isn’t played in the dinning area. Lovely walk along the beach. It’s 25 mins by tuc tuc to visit Negombo from here, worth a mornings visit. Thank you Ziegler for a lovely start.

The whole stay was wonderful, from Lucky who greeted us and looked after us with a beautiful smile to reclining in lush surrounds sipping the perfect mohito after a swim in the very clean pool.

“Relaxing great value hotel where Lucky and the team make their guests feel extremely welcome”
The staff were amazing Lucky looked after us and made us feel very special- he arranged taxis, suggested places to go and menu choices - told us lots about the area and clearly very proud to deliver fab customer service Kushan also who served lunch and dinner was so helpful and friendly. Lovely spot just off the beach although too rocky for swimming, but the pool is lovely as well Plenty of sun loungers and places to sit and relax
