“A very memorable stay - with an incredible traditional lunch!”
Kamal and the staff were very accommodating and helpful and the chef prepared an incredible rice and curry buffet, served in traditional woven plates, clay pots and banana leaves and all my favourite dishes - gottukola sambol from the hotel garden itself, mango curry, bean curry, chicken curry, carrot papadam ...probably one of the best rice and curry lunch buffet I have had and I lived in Sri Lanka for 5 years. I even mentioned that I would have liked to eat banana flower curry (kehel muwa) and the chef overheard and made it for us in the evening as a surprise! The hotel even kindly organised some paper printouts for us, allowed friends and family to join us in the pool for our last day in Sri Lanka before relocating overseas and made our last day very special and memorable. This will definitely be our go to place once we return for our holidays.
