the bed was really comfortable and everything was very clean, especially the bathroom. they have the sweetest dog ever!

Palms Villa must be one of the most wholesome places to stay. It is welcoming, warm, calm, food delicious, perfect pool, clean and tidy, water fountain, and absolutely nothing is too much problem. Our flight was delayed by 24 hours so we had to stay an additional night and was quite pleased about this as it was extra time for us to relax before the homeward bound journey. We left on Easter Sunday and taxi’s were virtually non existent so Gerry took us to the airport free of charge. That really sums up the excellent service right there. Thank you all for such a magnificent stay!!

Best equipped guest house. Everything you could require was there. Ideal to stay either at the beginning or end of a holiday, as only 15 mins to airport. Only stayed one night as heading home, but the food we had was delicious. Organised nice comfortable taxi for us to airport. Nice space to chill around the pool. Good communication with the property.

It was perfect start for our holiday. The rooms were clean and right by the pool. They had a lovely little area playing tunes, with a pool table. The hosts were very friendly and the food was absolutely scrumptious and all so cheap. Definitely would stay here again

Wonderful stay! We were only here for 12 hours but had the most relaxing time at the pool with friendly staff and a great Sri Lankan curry in the evening before our flight. Very clean with amazing amenities. Highly recommended as a Negombo stop over as also easy access to town and dry/wet fish markets by tuk tuk - thanks for making us welcome, it was exactly what we needed!

Convenient for the airport just 10 minutes drive away. Very welcoming hosts who make you feel right at home. The on site food is mouth watering and the pool is wonderful for a cooling plunge in the heat of the day. It's a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle with everything you need to just relax.

“One of the best villas I’ve stayed in!”

This is an amazing spot to stay if you have a late or early flight and want to relax. Upon entering I was greeted by one of the staff who was lovely. They also have a dog who is very friendly and loves to be petted! Everything was extremely clean and there’s so much to do. For £13 a night it’s a real bargain. There’s a pool, deck chairs, chess, hot tub, treadmill, and more. I decided to eat at the onsite resteraunt which was reasonably priced. I got a squid and salad and the food was delicious. The staff were very accommodating with my departure time. I left at 01:30 in the morning and the staff stayed awake to let me out. The security there is very good and it’s a solo female travel I felt safe. I would’ve stayed longer there if I knew it was that good. The bed was comfy and clean, there’s free tea in the room and somewhere to fill your water bottle. I left a 500 rupee tip for the lady who took care of me when I arrived, I hope she got it!

I just have to be honest. Do not allow old women to run a business. She was pushy and greedy. I want to be on vacation, not to be spied on and watched over. The property is covered in signs, telling you what you can and can't do. She pressured me to check out early and told me what to eat. There were no towels in the room, and she gave me a dirty look, as if I stole the towels. The location is really bad. It is a nice property, but the old woman makes you feel like you're not welcome. I wouldn't book a room there again.

Loved my stay at Palms, it is a lovely oasis not far from busy Negombo. I would stay again. It is not located close to the centre or beach but that suited me perfectly. The airport is within 15/ 20 minutes so this is recommended if you want to relax a night or two before leaving or after arriving on a flight. The pool was lovely, the food good, beer available and the staff approachable and friendly. Loved that everything was there and that I could pay by bank card so I didn't need to go anywhere and could relax and prepare for my journey home.

The owner puts great effort into the details to ensure an amazing stay. The place offers a lot of comfort and even a touch of luxury for a very small budget. Highly recommended!”
