“Perfect place to start your Sri Lanka holiday!”
A real oasis in Negombo, lovely pool set amid beautiful flowering shrubs and trees. Quiet airy rooms with comfortable beds, great breakfast (loved the coconut pancakes with cardamom). Ideal place to start your trip to Sri Lanka and it's Lucky who makes it all so fantastic. He's friendly and unbelievably helpful, also a mine of information about everything you need or want to know. He collected us from the airport, arranged a great Ayurvedic massage as well as a lovely bird watching boat trip on the lagoon, and drove us to Colombo station to catch the train to Galle. Highly recommend you stay at Green Wood Villa!

We had a wonderful stay at the Green Wood Villa. The gardens were gorgeous. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was so refreshing after a hot day of walking. And the owners were so hospitable. They provided us with so much information and were friendly and warm. Breakfast was delicious too. We would recommend this to everybody.

“Very nice”
We had a great one night stay! We arrived at 1am and the host had kindly waited up for us. The room was clean and well air conditioned and an early morning dip in the pool was exactly what we needed to get over the jet lag. There are plenty of nice cafes around and it’s a very quick walk to the beach front.

Wonderful stay, albeit short. Organised airport pick up and Lucky was so patient. Big storm when I flew in and luggage took 2 hrs to be delivered to belt. Can’t thank him enough for his patience, the airport was crazy that night. The room was exactly as the pics. B/fast served by Lakshmi was perfect, the steam cake was my favourite. The pool looked very inviting, unfortunately I had no time to use it.

Very happy with our stay. Comfy beds were just what we needed after a long journey! The host was very helpful, helping with our onward journey. The pool was lovely to cool down and the breakfast was very nice.

“Perfect place for first or last nights in Sri Lanka”
We stayed for only one night, our last on a five week trip in Sri Lanka, but could happily have stayed a few nights there. It was a great place, a calm oasis only a few hundred metres from Negombo beach and a wide choice of restaurants. Lucky and his family are great hosts. They kindly let us leave our bags there after checkout and to sit in the garden at the end of the afternoon before we went to the airport. The room was comfortable and the shower was the best we had on our entire trip with the winning combo of hot water and good pressure 🤗 The breakfast was also very nice. The swimming pool is nice for a dip. We also went to the spa recommended by and arranged for us by Lucky for a massage, which was excellent and reasonably priced.
