I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The room was spacious and spotless, with extremely comfortable bedding. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone visiting.

We stayed for our 1st couple of nights after arriving in Sri Lanka, to recover and acclimatise. Close to the airport, but in a quiet area. Lovely rooms, nice outside area, very welcome pool! Walkable to bars and restaurants, about 15 mins...tuk-tuk back. Good breakfast, too.

Donald Mansion had an excellent pool and a wonderful relaxing garden replete with coconut trees. The breakfast was very good and the en-suite room large with a comfortable bed.

“A little gem in a peaceful neighbourhood”

What a perfect little gem in the quieter part of Negombo. I enjoyed my one night stayc, being well looked after by Rani, the house keeper. Small, but comfy rooms and bathroom, but nicely decorated. Hot shower. Doors opening out to a small terrace with dip pool in a large well kept garden. The lobby is a lovely furnished place to enjoy meals or just relax on the cosy sofa and armchairs. Price is good. The place is kept very clean. Would have liked to stay longer. Thank you, Rani.

Very calm house in a quiet area. The room was a perfect size with direct access to the pool. The ladies whose are taking care of the property are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. They were very helpful and answered all our questions before our check-in days. Great place and wonderful service.

Very clean and cozy hotel. Room was normal size, swimming pool is very clean and warm, bed is comfortable, breakfast tasty. Personal was very friendly and help us in some questions.

The room had a bad smell and the door look wasn’t properly working.

It was a very clean and peaceful place, and we truly loved our stay. The owner was extremely friendly, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy in a calm and relaxing environment.

Our stay at Donald Mansion was good overall, but the property does need some maintenance. A fresh coat of paint or minor renovation would really help, as the place looks a bit worn down and old. When we arrived, the lady welcomed us warmly, offered us cool drinks, and showed us to our room, which we appreciated. However, since our room was on the first floor, there was no assistance with luggage. We had to carry our own bags up the stairs, which was quite difficult because the stairs are narrow and our luggage weighed around 30 kg. The swimming pool was nice, and the warm water facility was a plus. The AC worked well and was comfortable. That said, the room felt quite small. We had booked a duplex triple room and expected it to be more spacious, but it was very tiny. With two beds inside, there was barely any space to open our luggage. Overall, the lady was very helpful throughout our stay, even though she couldn’t understand English well. While there were some inconveniences, her effort and hospitality were appreciated.
