“Good venue to stay for a short time when you arrive from overseas before starting of your tour.”
Quietness and the convenience to relax after arriving from a long trip. From the lovely driver who picked us from the airport, reception staff Sahindu and Prince to restaurant employees Ashoka ( I think) was very helpful and showed Sri Lankan hospitality.

The friendly staff. The food - delicious & fresh. The pool - very clean and well kept. The room was very spacious, clean, & comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast.

“Maximum in style and comfort”
This hotel is very cool, very stylish… the interior design reminds me of me of cool places I’ve stayed in Tokyo and Sydney.. but bigger. It’s very new so extremely clean and fresh. The bed was super comfy and the finishings of the room are high end. We were only there for one day but all the staff that we met were really lovely and helpful. Very close to the beach if you want to stroll there for a sunset dinner which is what we did. Highly recommend.

We opted to stay overnight in Negombo (20 min ride) rather than an airport hotel so enjoyed a beach walk in the morning prior to flight. New build, excellent large rooms and v comfy bed. Lift to floors. Met charming owner and all staff v good english and chatty. Stairs to lovely roof top terrace and below an open terrace bar with tables where we had unexpectedly excellent curry evening meal there. Breakfast offers full Sri Lankan or English options and fresh fruit plate. Transfers v efficient. Think we paid for them. Smallish pool off lobby area - no time to swim in it - but good to have if staying longer. Would highly recommend the Belmont.
