“A cottage hosted by genuinely caring people”

This cottage was probably the best accommodations we booked for our Sri Lanka trip, mainly due to the attentiveness and just genuine caring nature of the hosts. My Wife had her birthday while we were here (not planned as we were due to be home before this but the war in the middle east happened) and the hosts helped me plan and execute a surprise decoration of the cottage and a cake which I will be eternally grateful for. The cottage itself has absolutely everything you would ever need for a stay. I could not recommend this place enough.

With a 5yo, we always are concerned about places to visit but your place was awesome for every one, especially my kid and my wife (they didn't want to leave). I have already become an advocate for your cottage and your support as hosts. Hoping to see you soon... For those, who are planning to stay around Negombo, please just book this cottage and dump all your concerns over the hosts' shoulders. They will happily take care of everything, be it a kitchen utensil or car rental. Just try to be respectful towards the hosts because they deserve it.

Everything great!

The garden, the pool, amazing provisions- everything you might need plus more! Some lovely little touches that were definitely appreciated. The best facilities for our baby for the whole 3 weeks in Sri lanka. Only stayed overnight but would happily have stayed longer. We walked to the main road for dinner which took about 30 minutes and had a nice dinner but there weren't loads of very close to eat. Even dropped us at the airport in the morning for our flight home.

“An oasis of calm in Negombo”

Bee Cottage is located in a quiet residential street. The house is a spacious 2 bedroom property, very private with a lovely courtyard garden and a small pool. There are bicycles for guests to use, which was fun and convenient. The fresh traditional breakfasts each morning were lovely. The owners of Bee Cottage are so friendly and kind. When I became unwell, they looked after me as if i was one of the family. I'm truly thankful for their care. We part as friends.

I highly recommend this accommodation! Clean spacious apartment. Lovely garden with swimming pool. The hostess ❤️ is a lovely, warm and kind person. She was always ready to help if we needed help. We were able to check in a day before the agreed check-in time at short notice and we are very grateful for that. If I return to Negombo I will definitely choose Bee Cottage.

“Very clean accommodation with delicious breakfast”

The accommodation was very clean. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and they were very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and all home made with generous portions. They have a beautiful garden and two cute tortoises. The rooms are well done with good air-conditioning. Tea and coffee sachets are provided. The accommodation is definitely recommended.

The cottage is a nice house with a lot of space and a nice garden.. The house has everything it needs and is very clean. The host is very nice and made an excellent breakfast.

“An idylic oasis in which to rest before or after your holiday”

I'm always wary of reviews which are all 5*. Nothing can be that good. Well exceptions prove the rule. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The property is spacious, well maintained, and within its own compound. It and the surrounding very pleasant neighborhood is very peaceful. An absolutely superb location to overcome a long flight- and the hosts can arrange the easy transfer. The beach is nearby accessible by the properties free bikes or a very short Tuk Tuk ride away. All of the above is possible due to the kindness and attention to detail provided by the hosts.

We were very satisfied. The accommodation is excellently equipped. The house is located in a beautiful garden with a clean swimming pool. Everything you could possibly need is here. The owners are the best. We came with a baby and they brought us extra baby stuff for her. I hope we will be back soon.

“Perfect stay that surpassed our expectations”

This place was so much more than we expected! It was so lovely to have a whole house to ourselves and have souch space to relax at the end of a busy trip. The outside area is a little oasis and it's easy to forget you are in the city. The pool is great and the owners really have thought of everything to make for a comfortable and easy stay. You could happily stay in this place for weeks! The owners are super friendly and helpful and made us a delicious breakfast too. There's not lots nearby, but several eating options within a 15-20 minute walk. The airport is about a 30 minute drive away.

We loved everything about Bee Cottage. You will be lucky if they have a vacancy! They were simply the best and most interesting hosts we had over a 3 week holiday in SL . This cottage was an oasis away from the tourist strip yet an easy tuk tuk ride to the beach front . Bee Cottage is an opportunity to experience a traditional family home in a quieter area.

We couldn't wish a better start to our journey! Our plane landed at dawn and our hosts were as kind as to offer a very early check-in, personally welcomed us at the villa and brought as an extra breakfast after our morning nap. The house is just perfect for a jet-lagged family - quiet location, spacious, clean, well-equipped and feels very safe. The host family lives next door and was always helpful with anything we needed. Our kids spent a lot of time in the swimming pool and loved the pet turtles that live in the yard. We enjoyed our breakfasts, especially the chicken curry and roti.

“Home from home”

I would wholly recommend a stay at Bee cottage. My sister and I arrived as guests and definitely left as friends. The cottage is well appointed comfortable and equipped. The hosts are there for you at anytime and are extremely helpful. They helped sort approval for driving licence and car hire. We had a weekend away to the mountains to visit the Elephant sanctuary and they text us a few times just to see if we where OK. If you are looking for a home from home you will find it at Bee Cottage.

It’s a lovely place that feels like a home away from home, but with the hospitality of a hotel. The owners took good care of me and the property. You can ask them for anything any time. I’ll book again when in Negombo.
