“Tea-rific!!! (Sorry! 😁)”

We had a lovely time and were sorry to leave. We stayed 3 nights. Great view from our room over the valley, taking in the quarry and river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend picking your own tea and learning the process of hand rolling and drying. Bringing our tea home made a unique souvenir, and a week later, we are still enjoying and talking about our tea and the different strengths. No trouble getting tea and spices into Australia. Comfy bed, enclosed shower with lovely hot shower. Appreciated fridge, tv, and additional seating area. Traditional food from restaurant was lovely. You could eat in restaurant, or they will bring to your room. Other option is in the garden under the dome, looking into the valley - recommend that! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and special. A very memorable birthday.

We stayed here for two nights and were thrilled! The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and tried to accommodate us in every way. A problem with the air conditioning was resolved immediately. Definitely do the tea making class and the tea tasting; it was fantastic, we learned so much! The food was mostly delicious (try the porridge!), at breakfast we could admire the beautiful view and a few monkeys. We would come back anytime, thank you so much!

“Fabulous villa amongst the tea, highly recommend.”

The property was literally surrounded by a tea plantation & was calm, quiet and peaceful. The staff went out of their way to be helpful & we enjoyed the breakfast & the 2 dinners we ordered from their menu (delivered to out outdoor terrace).

“WOW”

Unbelievably amazing. You really are in the middle of no where and it's fantastic. Sooo relaxing and we went on a trip to the most amazing waterfalls and they did a picnic. Truly amazing. We then went on a trip around the Tea plantation with the owner of the plantation truly a lovely guy and he taught us so much about Tea.

Secluded and Calm place

“A good place to stay to sea a working tea plantation”

Our room overlooked the tea plantation and was very large with great views. We were gven a free walking tour of the grounds and a free teat tastin gof 17 brews. The evening food was ood and the breakfasts were acceptable. The manager did a great job of looking after us with the tours and ea tasting during our two night stay.

The location

Loved the hospitality. Everyone was very welcoming and warm. It made a big difference that they cared. Rooms were a good size. We stayed in Serenity, and the view was really nice. We ordered dinner and it was really good. The welcome drink was amazing.

“Peaceful stay at Tea Cottage Resort”

We booked the Tea Cottage Resort very last minute and I'm so glad we did! We were given such a warm welcome and greeting. The room was located in such a peaceful surrounding and was absolutely gorgeous. I want to give a specific review of the staff as they were incredible! We had some issues with our rental tuk tuk and they went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you very much!

Property is run down. The only place in sri lanka that made us pay before we saw the rooms. It is also at a remote location, so try not to reach there late in the evening. You will be stuck there for the night. We had a two day trip and checked out the second day as it didn't suit us.

Love the location and views

We had the best time staying at the tea cottage! The staff was so attentive and friendly and the golden ice tea on arrival was very tasty. We had both dinner and breakfast at their restaurant and it was delicious. The bungalow was so cozy and we loved the surrounding area with several waterfalls to go swim in, just a short drive away, as well as beautiful hiking! We were the only tourists around and the local people are (as everywhere in Sri Lanka) really helpful and nice. The manager Johan made our stay very special!

Room was spacious and clean

We wanted to experience a tea plantation and The Tea Cottage resort was perfect. It is a beautiful and tranquil place. We enjoyed our Tuk Tuk ride to the waterfall and our tea picking and making experience. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very informative.
