Overview
Nestled in pine forests and beside the Gredos Sierra, this Parador is housed in a stone building dating from 1928. The terrace, library and elegant lounge look out over the lovely gardens. Escape to the beautiful countryside of Castile and Leon this holiday and sleep in style within this majestic Parador. The Gredos was one of the first Paradors and in typical Parador style, is decorated in a classical style, completely in harmony with the buildings age and history. Relax in the elegant interiors which feature antique furniture, wooden beams and stone columns. Soak up the sunshine and picturesque views from the outdoor terrace. The Gredos restaurant serves local produce and traditional recipes prepared in an imaginative way. The surrounding Tormes Valley and Béjar Sierra are ideal for bird watching, in particular the Serinus Citrinella species. Other activities include hiking and fishing.

A grand country house hotel, with authentic local cuisine and lovely staff. We stopped for a week's wildlife watching. There is a nature reserve on the doorstep, with lots of rarities. Sitting on the balcony, you can watch eagles soaring across the valley. I'll definitely be going back.

“Oldest Parador in neef of a refurb !”
The location and friendly helpful staff - food was reasonably good for a Parador - hot food was hot, which is unusual for Parador menus

Excellent location. The staff were so friendly and helped us when our vehicle needed repairs. We had to stay an extra night but there were no issues. Food was great and the room had a wonderful view over the mountains. We felt it was excellent value for money.

Great location, surrounded by forrest. Excellent for hiking. Very good kitchen, and staff provides best service.
