Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. We really enjoyed the onsen, cooking our own dango, and putting eggs into the bamboo onsen water to cook! Kids loved it. Great location, large rooms, delicious bento boxes - would definitely stay here again.

Everything. I was worried going out that far but everything was just perfect here. The staff were helpful and lovely. Small area to buy food in the lippy for convenience and vending machines

“Lovely for a family night at an Onsen.”
The staff were very friendly and the hot spring baths were excellent. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable.

“Nice new brick Onsen but without decent food”
Free entertainments:. Karaoke, Manga (no old game platforms though), billiard and table tennis. Nice Rotenburo in the main building. Massage chairs and ice cream vending machines (payable).

“Very cost effective Japanese style accomodation in a stunning mountain onsen village.”
This effectivlely a selfservice hotel. Very large Japanese style rooms with tatami floor and futon beds. Western style bathrooms, excellent large traditional in- and outdor onsen baths. Beautiful mountain views. Very friendly and helpful staff. No inhouse restaurant, but food can be self provided or purchased at reception as fozen bento type “boxes”. Microwave ovens are available in common areas. Onsite parking. It is a fairly large hotel. But once in the room you might as well be in a small house.

Friendly staff, nice Onsen and central location in Shiobara. There are several nice amenities such as gaming room, free pool billiard, ping pong, free tea and coffee, etc.

“A fun and friendly family onsen hotel near beautiful the footbath Yuppo No Sato.”
A fun onsen spa frequented by Japanese families (less foreign tourists) with lots of entertainment for children. Well-maintained onsen, friendly staff. There are amazing restaurants in town and the beautiful Yuppo no Sato footh bath, a must-do. A good starting point to explore the mountains (less hiking since bears are out & about).

Great location in the middle of the mountains. There were exceptional views all around and the onsen was quite nice. The room has everything you need and the staff are very friendly.
