Very nice, spacious and well-equipped Japanese-style house in a great location (just a few minutes away from JR train station and within walking distance from the main touristic attractions of Nara). Stay in this place was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan!

A lovely traditional building so close to the JR station. The house had beautiful wooden details, sliding doors, tatami mats and a private garden. There was a Japanese style bathroom, which we loved. It had air conditioning, fans and underfloor heating (which we didn’t use as it was hot!) There was shoyu, oil and seasoning in the kitchen, soap and toiletries for the bathroom. The owner was very kind, helpful and polite, and made us feel very welcome. Staying in the house was an experience in itself and it was lovely having somewhere so restful and homelike to return to after busy days. There is a convenience store literally around the corner which was very handy for milk, smoothies, pouches of fruit and snacks for the children. It is also close to the shopping area and other station - although we tended to use the JR station as we were travelling with a four year old with little legs!

Wonderful Japanese style apartment in an absolutely perfect spot in Nara - it is so central, yet on a quiet road (not that anywhere in Nara is noisy!) The location is 2 minutes from JR Nara station, and 10 minutes from the other station (both easily walkable) - and 1 minute from the main street of restaurants and shops. It is ideal. There is plenty of room for a family of six (obviously considering this is Japanese style - not multiple bedrooms). Each room has air conditioning. The host thoughtfully has left a number of maps out for use.

“Superb house and location in central Nara”

First of all: This is not an apartment, but rather a mini-mansion. Far bigger than we expected! Also - super stylish and "retro", full of old, beautiful furniture and filled with various nooks and crannies. On top of all of that, it is super well equipped and everything works perfectly. Location couldn't be better, right between Nara train station and the famous Nara deer park. We were very lucky and grateful to find this superb apartment.

Floor heating! Our feet were kept warm and comfortable. Superb location with shops and restaurants all within a short walk. Host was friendly and helpful. He came personally to meet us upon check-in to ensure that we are properly settled in. There was a minor incident which I texted the host, and he responded almost immediately. Parking space is just outside the house, making it super convenient.

Easily one of the best accommodations we have booked on our Japan trip. Host enabled us to check-in early once cleaning was completed, even though we only requested to leave our luggages before heading out to explore Nara. We had access of the whole house, that included an upstair area with 2 beds on tatami floor, and a little garden. We didn't need to utilise the upstairs at all and had ample room downstairs for 3 people. Location of the house is on a side street off a main road with shops, many great restaurants, and just a few minutes from the famous Nakatanidou mochi store. The same road leads straight up to Nara Park and Todaiji Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall) Temple. An easy walk from Nara Station to the accommodation as well. Host also provided clear and precise directions on how to get to the accommodation from the station if Google Maps not available.

Beautiful house ! Fantastic location. Parking next to it . Well equipped. Easy check in and out . Wish we had stayed more than two nights ! Highlight!
