Overview
Located within Nara Park, The Deer Park Inn offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property and a chance to feed the many deer roaming around the park. Kintesunara Train Station is an 8-minute taxi ride away. Rooms feature air conditioning/heating and free toiletries. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests. Meals are not served on the property, but guests can use the communal kitchen to prepare their own meals. Luggage storage is available for free and a coin launderette is available at a surcharge. Kasuga Taisha Shrine is located a 7-minute walk away, while the Todaiji Temple is located within a 15-minute walk from the property. Guests can also take a 13-minute walk to access the Nara National Museum or a 17-minute walk to see the beautiful Isuien Garden.

The location is up a large staircase with a side door entrance which can be challenging but in the middle of Nara park which is nice. Staff is informative and check in smooth. Great value for money.

📍Amazing place!!!!!! ❤️❤️😍😍😍 Since we love animals so much, we loved the deers everywhere. Wish we stayed more than 1 night. Souvenir shop next to the hotel, there you can buy special cookies to feed the deer. Beautiful view with deer outside the window (in our room). Shrine is also so close!!!! Such a beautiful and underrated place. If you love animals and spending time with them a lot, then this is the perfect place for you. 🦌 🛏️ Room was clean and nice, bed was comfortable! If you feel cold, turn on the heater! Loved everything here. In our room we had small table and two chairs. So happy about that. There were also toiletries and place to hang your clothes. Common rooms were nice and it was comfy to use them. Even though shower and toilets were for common use, there was a lot of strong privacy feeling :) 💞👍 🚿🎶 Shovers and toilet is common and shared with other people. Walls are pretty thin, can hear whats going on outside, and have to be silent in your room. That was not a problem for us ❤️ 👍 host was so nice and helpful! We felt really welcome at the hotel!

“Slow break in the middle of Nara's park”
Quiet and slow Inn. The staff is super nice, such lovely people. Having deers next door is something to experience once in a lifetime. Truly comfortable beds. For peace seekers, this place is your go to.

Beds were comfortable and the location was really nice (bit of a trek from the station, I recommend a taxi to and from if you have luggage as it's all uphill) Staff were friendly and gave tips on places to visit which was nice. Kitchen/sitting area was pleasant surprise, and quite nice Was overall quite clean, except for the concern listed below Restaurants and conbinis are a bit far, so plan your meals ahead of time - but they do have cupnoodles just in case which is nice Best thing is definitely being in the park. Todaiji Temple and Tasugataisha Shrine are about 15 mins away, you walk outside and can pet deer. All that considering, it's a great place.

Sleeping in the middle of the park was a nice experience - seeing deer strolling around or napping outside of your window is cool. The lodge is very nice-looking, the room spacious, the staff kind. It is convenient to reach all of the main attractions of the park.
