Overview
Just a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Train Station and a 6-minute walk from Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Ryokan Kosen Kazeya Group offers free WiFi at the lobby and traditional Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A hot public bath is also available. Each room at Kosen Ryokan has a Japanese-style seating area with floor cushions, which is moved to the side of the room at night to make room for futon bedding. The floor is made of tatami (woven straw). Rooms have a simple décor featuring sliding paper screens. Kofukuji Shrine is a 6-minute walk from the ryokan, and the Nara National Museum is an 8-minute walk away. Todaiji Temple and Isuien Garden can be accessed within a 15-minute walk, while JR Kyoto Station is a 5-minute taxi ride away. Kansai International Airport is a 1 hour and 40-minute bus side. A set-menu Japanese breakfast is available for an extra fee if reserved in advance. It is served either at the dining room or in guests’ rooms. Internet access is not available at this property.

“Great place to stay in Nara”
Friendly staff. Room was spacious. Bathroom even contained a bathtub. Very good location.

“Amazing time!”

“Overall, it's a pretty good stay.”
It's not far away from the station and close to Nara Park. The location is convenient if you want to see Nara Museum and those famous temples. The price is affordable.

“Traditional Rhyokhan where we would probably not stay again”
Traditional ryokhan that had a small public bath as well. Location was good because the main temples in Nara are right outside as are some shops, Starbucks and of course, lots of deer. More spacious than some of the rooms we had. Staff maybe spoke a bit better English than elsewhere, at least one

Ideal location right next to the Nara park and main temples. Deers were literally the first thing we saw out of the hotel in the morning, crossing the street. Staff was really helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend

“Would gladly come to this place again.”
The breakfast was better than I had expected, it was filling and tasty. The staff were very attentive and kind. The location was great, it was right next to the Nara deer park, and there was a pond in front of the hotel where I could see the deer from inside. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Nara, for travel or work.

“Will be back!”
Honestly I wish I reserved more days with this hotel. It was very convenient to get to from Nara station, just a straight road and predominantly flat (helpful since I brought a large suitcase). I also enjoyed the fact that there were many deers roaming just outside my place! The river was very scenic. Also the staff was very helpful.
