Nara Ryokan has a superb location right in the middle of the old town of Nara a few steps from the market place with restaurants and shops. Kofukan monastery and the deer park is within a five minutes walking distance. The Ryokan provides in its small space all the usual traveller's comfort, like hot bath, personal bathroom items, drinks vending machine. The tiny room also offered a surprising lot of amenities - a private toilet and shower, slippers, yukata, soaps and shampoos, hairdryer, fridge, electric kettle, tea, bottled water. For a low price ryokan, the offer was abounding.

My room was so comfortable and I had everything I needed. The whole ryokan was clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The private onsen is fantastic. i was walking distance to restaurants, shops, museums and close to the park, temple and shrine.

Lovely property and beautiful room in a nice quiet part of town. It was an easy and short walk to and from the railway station.

Loved the location as it was a stones throw away from Nara Park. Very pleasant staff and the room was clean and had all the amenities needed. Having private baths was a huge bonus due to not being able to use public ones.

“Beautiful traditional Japanese inn”

A very beautiful traditional Japanese inn located only a few minutes from Nara Park and many nice restaurants. The neighbourhood was very charming, it really felt like travelling back in time. The room itself was quite spacious and very beautiful with tatami flooring, cozy futons and traditional windows. There were plenty of free amenities and even a kettle to make your own green tea. The inn also has its own private onsen that you can reserve for 40 minutes for free! It was the perfect way to relax after a long day of travelling and definitely the highlight of our stay. The massage chairs were also a pleasant addition. The receptionist was very polite and friendly as you would expect from Japan. You can also store your luggage at the inn after your check-out which definitely came in handy! Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay there and can only recommend it.

I loved the authentic feel and spacious rooms. The private onsen was lovely to enjoy after a long day exploring, and massage chairs were handy too!
