“Really fun”

We loved staying here, such a novelty to wake up and have deer right outside, my son was thrilled. The staff were very helpful, check in was easy and the cafe upstairs was very nice. Great amenities in the room and very comfortable beds, amazing value for money.

“A wonderful place to see nature and relax with the deer.”

This was an exceptional stay- our favourite in Japan. We stayed here for 5 nights and we are really happy that we did. We found lots to do in the local area. Lots of walks, shrines and nature to explore. We loved the deer who would come up to the window/ patio and feeding them first thing in the morning, without any tourists was magical. The property had everything we needed. It was comfortable and clean. The staff were really welcoming. We would 100% stay here again.

Amazing stay, surrounded by the deer of Nara park coming right to our front door. Really cosy room and lovely helpful staff!

This accommodation exceeded my expectations. I’d encourage anyone staying in the park to stay here! The room we got was extremely spacious and comfortable with its own shower bath and toilet as well as kitchen and dining room area overlooking the deer. It was extremely clean and well kept and we were impressed by the staffs kindness and willingness to help. They provided us with a map with the best sightseeing spots and temples as well as let guests keep luggage at the property for as long as needed even after checkout. It’s located perfectly near the parks best souvenir shops and cafes with a lovely spot right outside we enjoyed brunching in. As well as in walking distance from the best temples and lakes. The deer in this area are calmer also since it’s less crowded. I’d certainly stay again!

“Interesting”

It is very nice for a short stay. Wake up and the first thing you will see in the morning are the deers which is a very nice experience. The house is suitable for three people at most. 4 people would be a bit uncomfortable if you bring large luggage, but it is perfect for three. The bathtub was so big and comfortable

The bed mattress was old and the staff refused late chech out without any reason. Usually Japanese hotels agree on at least one hour.

“Remote, but an experience worth having.”

The location is great. Deer right outside your door and a vending machine (although, an expensive one) too. The room itself was clean, and the kitchen had all you'd need. The staff warn you, correctly. There is nothing to eat after 4pm in the park. We assumed they meant 'decent food' but, nope, zero. So get used to walking to the local PAKET supermarket which is 2KM each way; not a big deal so long as you're ready for it.

Location peaceful once all the park visitors go home. Great access to hiking, temples and shrines. Great little kitchen, comfy bed.

This cosy little flat was perfect for our trip to Nara. It is located inside the park and we could see deer outside our window while we had our morning coffee. Would recommend!

“Amazing place right along the deer!!”

What an amazing place!! This little lodge was everything we hoped it’d be: cosy, practical, friendly. Being in the deer park is so cool, the deer really come to your doorstep! The temple in the woods is mystical and since you’re sleeping there you can visit it before the tourists arrive, which is fantastic. The little cafe offers a beautiful breakfast menu, which is great value for money. And they have really good coffee too ;) their sandwiches are worth a try as well. If you want to visit Nara and escape the crowds, this is the place for you! Note however, that the shops and restaurants in the area close when the tourists leave, so 6pm at the latest. But restaurants are open in the center nearby, a 2min walk from the inn.

Everything was perfect and as expected. Neat and clean also very close to a lot of tourist stops.

“Peaceful place with great facilities and friendly staff”

Fabulous place to stay. Deer right outside the door and can explore Nara Park in the early morning and at night. So beautiful with views of the city from the top temple.

The location was exceptional, set right within the park and close to a lovely cafe. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and it was magical to see the deer right on our doorstep.

The accommodation was great, felt like a world away from the chaos of the tourist zone. The room and beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. The kids loved the deer knocking on the window and we could buy deer crackers from the neighbours. It was so peaceful walking around the temples and shrines in the morning before the crowds. Also they reserved a parking spot for us.
