The staff were gracious and attentive, and dinner was excellent. Unfortunately, their efforts could not compensate for the condition of the room.

Amazing/ unique experience of Japanese culture. As a foreigner I'm impressed. Traditional food, traditional clothes, amazing view, hot onsen and friendly staff.

The welcoming was really lovely, given an options of yukata to choose from. We were taken to the room, it was so cosy and got to enjoy the facilites of the onsen (outside and in). The dinner was spectacular. One of the best dinners i had in Japan and to relax with friends.

The onsen was magical! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The traditional dinner and breakfast was fantastic.

“Absolutely wonderful relaxing stay”

Beautiful and peaceful location, easy to find the hotel shuttle at Kintetsu-Nara, lovely spacious room, great hospitality with snacks provided in the room and on arrival. Staff were very attentive, explained everything about the room, bath and meals in English to me, and laid out my futon for me while I was at dinner. Dinner and breakfast were both wonderful and provided in a room with a lovely view overlooking a small garden. Didn't make use of the public bath or bar but private outdoor bath with the room was wonderful!

Amazing views and a short drive from Mt Wakakusayama where we could enjoy scenic walks and a wonderful panorama of Nara. Onsen and food were great too.

We booked the room with 2x private onsens for a family of 6 adults which included dinner & breakfast services. The room was clean, roomy and onsen was awesome! we even had our own little private garden. The service was exceptional, we visited during the Nara marathon so had some issues get around, but they were helpful and willing to provide us with options so that we wouldn't miss out on the sites around Nara. We were served traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast in a private dinning room. The food was amazing! definitely worth it.

Super efficient and polite staff and wonderful kaiseki dinner . Private onsen in the room is amazing . Perfect stay if exploring Nara .

Lovely ryokan with friendly staff and excellent service. Experiencing traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast was amazing.The hotel is on a mountain and the view was great, but the downside is you can't get there by public transport. The hotel does have a free shuttlebus though so it's ok.

“Relaxing experience close to Nara park”

Really enjoyed the private outside bath with a small garden view. We were provided with herbs for the tub and robes. The shuttle service is super useful we got dropped off in Nara park in the morning close to the main temple. Breakfast and dinner were super delicious served in private dining room and we got some very nice treats in our room like local chocolate, sake, snacks and even deer crackers! Staff was very welcoming and nice!

We arrived early evening for a brief one night stay. it was lovely to be greeted and escorted to our room. The meals were exceptional

“Fancy, serene, and well cared for 🥰”

We booked a room with a private open-air hot-spring bath and it was amazing. The room was perfect for a mini recharge after our 2-week trip in Japan. The view from the room was relaxing and I could do sunbathing in the morning too, which was amazing :) Breakfasts and dinners were so fancy and delicious! Oh and the chocolate provided free-of-charge in the fridge was top-notch!!

The arranged transport and caring reception by the staff made it a very comfortable start to our one-night stay. The room was spacious with great elevated views to watch the sunset over Nara and the onsen baths were the ultimate relaxing treat. The 8-course kaiseki dinner served in our room was extraordinary and breakfast the next morning also excellent. Would love to stay here again if ever possible.
