“Lovely, quiet and comfy Inn located in the heart of Nara”

We stayed here for five nights in the middle of February and it was well worth it for the price we paid. Check-in was easy, the owners were very friendly and helpful. If we had questions or concerns, they always responded right away to help us. The location is the best part. Only a few minutes walk to Kintetsu Nara station, lots of shops and restaurants (Lawson, 7-11, Daiso, supermarkets, souvenirs and clothing stores, etc.) and very close to cultural sites. It's also only a few minutes away from the famous mochi shop, Nakatanidou, with their fast paced mochi pounding demonstration. There is a kimono rental shop, Saori Kimono, located one floor below us. That was a lovely experience as well, something we highly suggest visitors to try especially with Saori Kimono as the ladies there were very friendly and speak English. Nara Park is also right next to us and one morning we were surprised to see a deer walking around at the station. The room itself was comfy and clean. Great for our family of four (two adults, one young adult, and one preteen). The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet at night. The kitchen was well equipped. We got fresh produce from a shop close by and we were able to enjoy them using the helpful utensils provided. The bathroom was cold when we first got in but the heated toilet and water heater worked well and pretty fast. The many towels and free amenities were also a nice touch. The room is located on the third floor of the Arutekan Shopping building. Sometimes we stayed out pretty late and the building was locked up but there is a staircase you can use to get up to your room, you just need a code which the owners provided on day one. Overall, Family Inn Nara was a great place for us to stay. I just wish we could've stayed longer. There is so much to see in Nara. It's full of history and Japanese culture, as it was the ancient capital of Japan.

Closeness to the Park and deer. Lots of space, outdoor area and quiet at night. Good studio aptment facilities like washing machine and good size fridge.

Perfect location. The room is nice and spacious. The small kitchen is well equipped. There is also a nice little private space outside with a dining table. Great place for a family !

The apartment smells very bad. The toilet is old and small, so you can barely pull your pants down. The beds are too soft. The internet is very good. Unfortunately, the live TV didn't work. The apartment can't be darkened sufficiently. Early in the morning the room is already very bright.

Super location just a minute from the Kinetsu station and Nara attractions. The room is really a mini apartment that has some thoughtful touches suggesting it gets used by the owners on occasion too e.g. a bike available, an outdoor deck to have dinner on, a washer. Everything comfortable and easy to use, the price was great. Wish we could have stayed longer as the area seems really interesting.

This property was perfect for our family of 3 travelling around Japan. The room wasn’t big but we’ve managed to accommodate our suitcases well (they are medium size). It was a plus to have somewhere to cook breakfast or even a simple meal as well as wash our clothes while in transit. Another plus was to be in the right location to shops, restaurants, train station and the beautiful temples and park. Yet, we were not disturbed by noises morning or late at night. Beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable! Thank you !

It isn't as bright and clean as it is in the photos. I had the impression it was a house. But it's a block inside a hall of restaurants and izakayas. Little disappointed but for the price, I couldn't really complain.

Clean, central location, comfortable and good sized, exactly what we needed and great value, as everything else is so expensive!
