“Homely, modest accommodation. Reasonable value. Hard to feed kids.”

The room was a lot bigger than major cities (due to being on a remote island). There was a communal washing machine available. The Yellow Pumpkin (and free Benesse House bus stop) was walkable from the location. The host does not speak English, but communicates by body language OK and appeared friendly. Pan Tocori (makes delicious bread-based creations) and Naoshima Coffee are both outstanding and are a 10 min walk from Season 2. Stock up on bread and coffee! The Ramen shop nearby was a hit with my 7 yr old son for dinner and the locals were very kind to us. The beds were comfortable and warm.

Very convenient location - between the museum cluster and the art sites in Honmura. If you have 2 half days a bicycle is not even necessary, everything is quite walking distance and/or can be combined with bus. The house is clean and the room is very big with all the amenities!

Very cool place on Naoshima Island, part of the old fishing village. Right by the sea. not many tourists around = quieter and more interesting

It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay while visiting the museums. We easily walked from the property to the nearest shuttle bus.

The room is really big with all basic amenities. Even if not in the main port areas, there are 2 bus stops nearby and it's located a quick walk or bus ride from restaurants, cafés and the museums. There's a great spot at the beach 10 min away to watch the sunset and Naoshima café close by is not to be missed!

Staff was super friendly! The place was big and super comfortable for 4 people. Close to the museum aerea.

The property was close to the bus stop and well equipped with everything we needed. The host was incredibly kind and received a parcel for me and let us check in early. He walked us past the bus stop to show us where to go.

Great value, spacious. A quiet part of the island. The host brought a couple of bicycles for us to use. The host was friendly with a good sense of humour especially with my poor Japanese.

The host is wonderful and very friendly. It has everything you’d need - private bathroom and toilet. Room was clean and had anything you’d need. There is a stop for the local bus around the corner so convenient to get around town.

It was quiet, clean and comfortable and beautifully located. The hist was lovely and very helpful.

The owner doesn’t speak much English, but he was super welcoming and informative. The room was huge for solo traveler, it comes with plenty equipments such as microwave, toaster, medium-sizes fridge, TV, lots of hangers, hair dryer. There were even washing machines and detergent that were free to use. On top of that, the light can be adjusted in many different modes with a remote!

I wish I could stay in this place more. The island itself is beautiful but the place made it even better. The owner is super nice, even if you don't speak the language, he shows and gives you everything you need. The room is very big and nice. The bus stop is very close but if you don't have to carry your luggage. It is a perfect island to walk. There is a washing machine. Super cute, lovely place. I hope I can come back one day to stay more!

The owner was very kind and gave me a room with a western style bed. They checked me in earlier. You have everything you need and all clean.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! It provided a peaceful and tranquil environment, perfect for a restful night's sleep. The quiet surroundings allowed me to enjoy the serenity and even gaze at the stars on clear nights. However, it's important to note that the hotel is located quite far from the ferry pier, making it inaccessible without a car. Nevertheless, the distance from the hustle and bustle of the pier added to the overall tranquility of the place. While there are no food stalls or restaurants in close proximity, the hotel's exceptional service made up for it. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle and bustle.
