“Great location, traditional and cosy”

Traditional, very cosy homestay, location superb. The lady host was very kind even though she doesn’t speak English. We hope she is happy with her present :)

The owner was kind to assist us with our ferry booking before we got to the property. And store our luggage prior to our arrival as we used Yamato for luggage transfer. The room and facilities were clean.

Excellent value for money and a very central location for the nearby port. Lots of small quaint allyways nearby and cute garden in the the front of the home. Washing machine and drying facilities provided for ¥100. Our host provided toast, jam and coffee so we could make a light breakfast. Shared toilet and bathroom but multiple of each so no problem with access. Kitchen was communal and was a bit cluttered so don't expect everything to be done for you. At this price however, it's not an issue. Beds were western style with very comfy mattress, pillows and big fluffy doona.

“Beautiful stay in charming guesthouse on Naoshima art island”

Very charming guesthouse in Naoshima with fantastic access to the art galleries and museums. We hired bikes and had a wonderful time riding around the island. The guesthouse was lovely, traditional style, with comfortable beds, and very spacious. The shared bathrooms were always clean and well equipped. We loved meeting the beautiful cats and friendly little dog!

The locationwas great, central honmura. My room heated up quickly with the heater and the bedding was clean and comfortable.

Location, location, location nestled in an art precinct, close to transport, an authentic stay in the island town, continental breakfast provided, unobtrusive yet extremely helpful when we needed her assistance to recover misplaced baggage.

Really cute house, and a really nice owner with the cutest dog (Kota-kun you're the best) and cats ! Really close to the bus station and the Honmura port, just a few minutes walk from the New Art Museum and the Art Houses project.

The guesthouse is centrally located within the old town of Honmura, a short walk from the ferry port and the local bus stop connecting the town with all the art locations of the island. If you're interested in the Art House Projects, the guesthouse is perfect, in that you'll be staying in a similarly traditional old house built in the same style and materials. The guesthouse is occupied by the landlady, who is very friendly and helpful, and being her home it's very cosy and full of character. She has a little dog and several cats, and a charming peaceful garden in which you can have your breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay.

Very good location two or three minutes’ walk from the port, the ferry terminal and the various restaurants and cafes in the town, and close to bus stops to the art shows. Modest but clean accommodation run by a very friendly and helpful woman. Several cats and a small dog on the premises. Japanese-style rooms.
